i've said it many times, this website is hands down an amazing resource, not only for the film itself, but also for the comic. and the community is fantastic. intelligent and knowledgeable about what's going on.

which brings to mind this:

lately, on the forums, i'm seeing a lot of pics that aren't making it to any of the viral websites.

for instance, the VC bowing down to Manhattan. also, the comedian arresting that cartoonish thug. not to mention what looked like the original graphic elements from the movie site.

it would be great for this site, as what i consider to be the definitive online resource, to have them catalogued in one place.

same deal with the online interview mp3s with gibbons from newsarama, or the audio elements for the film site, or the prison fight track, etc., assuming that it's not violating any sort of proprietary materials issues (or any other stuff i'm talking about above, for that matter). so long as its credited and linked, i'm sure there's ways to embed the content which would protect it appropriately.

is this something other visitors to the site would enjoy? is it even do-able? thoughts?

Lot's of what you see floating around are leaked images - Like that Comedian photo. So I can't post those. I'll be told to pull them as soon as they go up. (although are they still up on Omlette and that other site? if so, I might post them here)

Some of it is here - like the prison break track - it's on the soundtrack page. Or a link to the Viet Cong bowing photo in the home page news ticker.

Also, I can't post every single Watchmen related story that hits the Web, especially in the month's leading up to the film. First, there's no time, and second, It's hard to keep track of it all. Third, some of it is redundant. Some interviews have the same questions and answers of a similar interview I posted, so I skip it.

I know the volume of info I have here needs to be catalogued a bit better, and I'm working on that a bit every day.

The audio tracks from the main site... Well, they're on the movie site, and that's in the links page. I just don't want to carbon copy everything that can be found someplace else.

Same thing with the New Frontiersman site. That's on ongoing endeavor right now. For me to take all of those images as they post them and put them on this site, well, that's not fair to those guys. When that campaign is over, I'll archive all of those entries here.

I try to post every single big to moderately big story as a main article. Smaller stories or items are put in the news ticker and link to the source.

If there are any big omissions, let me know. Start a thread with stuff I need to post, and if it's a biggie, I'll put it up.

I personally think DDC deserves a lot of credit for successfully walking the fine-line between offering the essential one-stop-shop for WATCHMEN movie news online but also playing by the rules and staying on Warner Bros' good side.
