I ask because it was frickin' awesome (seriously, it was one of the best fansites for a movie I've ever seen. The dedication to it was just great) and I still waste 4-5 seconds a week to see if it's been updated and it has not (because let's face it, everyone involved with the film is on their next project and what new news are we really supposed to expect with a movie that's 15 months old?) and I'd like to get those 4-5 seconds back that I'm wasting. Sure, I could just not check in but the suspense would kill me.

Literally.

Seriously? A whole thread? For this?

The site probably won't get taken down as the forum and what not still has members who post on it frequently. I really don't see why it's such a big deal that the website is still active.

I have no intention of ever taking this site down. Yes, there's been no news lately, but eventually, maybe there will be.

And the forum is still active, so the site isn't "dead," just slow.

ever thought about Diversifying DDC? maybe into an Alan Moore Film site? obviously an "all comic book movies" site would be a massive undertaking, and a lot of work, (i saw a site called E Favata's comic book movies go from a great info-source in 2004 to bucking under the pressure of too many comic book movies last year.) but just alan moore based movies would be good. or perhaps Just DC/Vertigo movies?

When I decided to do the Watchmen site, I knew that because it was just one property, it would not overwhelm me. If I were to do it again, I would pick just as narrow a topic. Also, whatever I pick I would have to really love that topic. I won't just do a site to do one.

that's because nothing is happening that is worth putting on the front page,

out of curiosity, how much does this site cost to keep the hosting/domain?

NO! Just because there is not much news, it doesn't mean this website is dead. In fact, if you look at the forum, you are actually pretty far from the truth. True, our community is smaller now, but I like it, I "know" everyone who posts, and the forum is active even though our numbers have decreased. I (ashamedly) don't post much in the Watchmen sections of this site (despite loving it) but I like discussing other comics and films and stuff with fairly like minded people. There is no point in DDC updating the news when there is nothing to be updated on, and if there is something to be updated on, they you'll be sure to find it here.

Peace.

The implication was blood.

I turn your attention towards the capitalized C.

Thank you, DDC.
