but then again you might be wasting a lot of money and gone out of your way for nothing...

The horizon is dark... ;)

Unless they are releasing a photo of me touching or 3 feet away from Archie...I dont think so.

Unless they are releasing a photo of me playing leap frog with Malin Akerman

Unless they are releasing a photo of me high fivin' a blue god...

I still think it's worth it to be there in the flesh.

DONT YOU?

I am not against meeting up for meals, drinks or just to hang out. I'm going alone so it will be nice to hang out. If Friday is Watchmen day I may be booked up with interviews, etc. at least for most of the afternoon.

I also need to be ready to say "how high" if WB asks me to jump, so my schedule could be erratic with me leaving at a moments notice here and there.

As the day gets closer, you can PM me your cell numbers and we can figure out where and when to meet when the time comes.

I went to Mexico by myself last year when my friend bailed on me at the last minute, and even though I made the most of it, I was still looked upon by most as a leper.

By the way, it's waylayer, as I'm not important enough to be a proper noun. :p But if we're talking about real life stuff, it's Pat or Patrick. I feel creepy when I think of me introducing myself as "waylayer" to an actual person. I feel like anyone nearby should give me a ultra-wedgie if that occurs.

From the lovely and talented Kristin at E! Here is a sneak peek schedule:

http://uk.eonline.com/gossip/kristin/detail/index.jsp?uuid=a277622e-c865-4611-85f8-d3be4ae28589

Scroll down to the very bottom:

Update, June 26: From WWK sources, added specific Lost panel time, Entertainment Weekly show runners panel, Bones and American Dad to Friday, and info about TV stars doing non-TV panels at the Con. Also, added Dollhouse panel time to Saturday (via Pie Spoilers), and added MST3K panel time to Friday (via mst3kinfo.com and Erik H.).

Update, June 25: Added Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog to Friday (WWK source).

Update, June 22: Added MythBusters to Saturday (WWK source); added Ghost Whisperer exact time to Sunday (via Seat42f); added Doctor Who and Torchwood to "other shows" list, working to confirm panel time.

The Con is coming! The Con is coming!

Yes, San Diego Comic-Con 2008 is just a few short weeks away, with good friends like Lost, Heroes, The Office and Dexter scheduled to attend. I was sorting out my personal itinerary and realized I might not be the only one trying to figure out what TV stuff is happening at the Con.

So I beat a few bushes (dirty) and flushed out (dirtier!) the schedule of TV-show events and panels. This is totally unofficial, unauthorized and subject to change (especially if there is an actors' strike), but click in for the current scheme of things as we approach Nerdvana.

Thursday, July 24

10–11 a.m.: Kings

11:45 a.m.–12:45 p.m.: Knight Rider

5:45–6:45 p.m.: Dexter

Friday, July 25

10:15–11:15 a.m.: The Big Bang Theory

12:15–1:15 p.m.: Stargate Atlantis

1:30–2:30 p.m.: Joss Whedon panel featuring Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog and Dark Horse Comics' Buffy: Season Eight

3–4 p.m.: Ghost Hunters

7:15–8:15 p.m.: Mystery Science Theater 3000, 20th-anniversary panel

TBD: Fox series, including American Dad (likely a morning session, featuring a table read and giveaways), 24, Bones and Prison Break; Entertainment Weekly show runners panel, including Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse

Saturday, July 26

10:45–11:45 a.m.: Heroes

11:30–12:30 p.m.: Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles

12–1 p.m.: Lost

12:45–1:45 p.m.: The Office writers with Rainn Wilson

1–2 p.m.: Dollhouse

2:15–3:15 p.m.: Battlestar Galactica

3:15–4:15 p.m.: Pushing Daisies

3:30–4:30 p.m.: Chuck

4:45–5:45 p.m.: Fringe

4:45–5:45 p.m.: Eureka

6–7 p.m.: Jason Smilovic of My Own Worst Enemy and Ronald D. Moore of Virtuality, TV Guide panel

7:15–8:15 p.m.: MythBusters

Sunday, July 27

10–11a.m.: Smallville

10:30–11:30 a.m.: It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

11:15 a.m.–12:15 p.m.: Supernatural

1:45–2:45 p.m.: Ghost Whisperer

TV Stars on Non-TV Panels

Thursday: Julie Benz for Punisher: War Zone, Autumn Reeser for Lost Boys 2 DVD, Kal Penn for Harold and Kumar DVD

Friday: Mischa Barton for Assassination of a High School President, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Malin Akerman for Watchmen

Definites for me:

MST3K, Watchmen, Ghost Hunters. Too bad I'll miss the It's Always Sunny panel. :( That's a fantastic show.

Maybe I'm missing it...

When is the panel for Watchmen?

The revelation of all these great props along with handouts?

I see them there on Friday, but...Is there no time?

I'm new to Comic Con so I'm not to sure.

I think that was just a preliminary schedule. Here's something posted at gerardbutlergals.com:

A much better report and exciting report as well...

Not only is the Watchmen panel and actors an exciting part, but the list of attendees from Hugh Jackman to JJ Abrams is wet dream material.

Throw in Rorschach's mother, and even he'd agree!
