I have to finish the whole thing first. At the rate I'm going, I hope to be done by Monday at the very latest.

Then we need to send it to WB for their approval, which shouldn't take long. From there, it's up to DD.

EDIT: I'm calling it a day for now. Here's the tally so far:

mp3: 34 minutes and 32 seconds out of 55 minutes and 17 seconds.

12 questions down, 7 more to go.

The transcription stands at 9 pages and counting.

It's done.

All 19 questions and their answers have been transcribed into just over 14 pages. I'm sending the whole thing to DD as I type this and the interview will be online in due course.

In the meantime, I sincerely hope that Gibbons can hear me as I thank him for the 55 minutes and 17 seconds of candor and enthusiasm. Great care was taken in this transcription and I hope it shows.

Awesome~

Now that you've transcribed the entire interview, are we still expecting it to appear in 2 or 3 parts?

What's the total page number in the end? :D

Just over 14.

We'll have to put this into 2 or 3 parts, that's just unavoidable.

Pardon my persistent questioning, but are there some unexpected delays?

Still waiting for WB's permission, I imagine.

We sent the transcript to Dave last week. As you know he's a busy guy. This could take a couple more weeks. Sorry guys.

No worries. I'm sure the article would be just as awesome to read in 20 years time!

I was just wondering, roughly how many questions were submitted? Also, will those whose questions were picked be notified by email, or will it be a surprise?.

19 questions were submitted. 14 of them were fan-submitted, DD and I worked together on the other five. Of course, I guess that technically means that all the questions were fan-submitted, but I digress.

I imagine that the questions we chose will be a surprise, as they were for the Snyder Q&A.

EDIT: Oh, you mean how many questions we got? Only DD knows for sure, but I think it was just over 100.

Not really. We landed four or five times that amount for Zack Snyder.

Understandable, really. I know first-hand that crafting a worthy question for one of the three Watchmen masters is very, very hard.

While waiting patiently for Dave's reply, is it possible for you guys to throw us a hint on what this controversy surrounds please? Just a hint? Pretty please? I'm dying to find out. :(

Okay, here's a hint: When I said that the secrets were "controversial," I meant that they had been discussed on this forum ad nauseum almost since we opened. I'm talking about story and character details that have consumed at least three threads apiece.

If you want ideas about what's in store, just look through this forum. If it's been debated for 20-plus pages, or if at least three topics boil down to the interpretation or intention of it, chances are that Dave addressed it.

Mostly the graphic novel, though. He kept mum on details from the movie, though he did talk about the movie at length.
