Plays the role of Bjorn in Outlander (2007) opposite Ron Perlman & Jim Caviesel, Sea Change (2007) opposite Tom Selleck James stands out in a crowd, literally and figuratively. Standing 6' 5" hulking, muscle, James has formed lasting bonds with Ron Perlman, Donnie Wahlberg, and Aidan Devine. James left Tom Selleck with such an impression, that Tom selected the scene with James and spoke of him during an interview on 'Live with Regis & Kelly'.

Looks to be a solid choice... He can actually act, yeah?

he does look great... but they might want a bigger name. there are many great cap possibilities, but again they might go for an a-lister rather than the guy perfect for the role.

there are a lot of rumours going around about brad pitt getting the role of thor... but it's too far away to say just yet.

I think that now that Marvel has scored with IM and TIH, both having "names" they can do the next few with out, because people know they will get a good quality movie, even without Pitt as Thor (I don't want that)

i would really disagree with you on that... seen as tobey maguire was a biggish name by the time spider-man came out, and he didn't do the greatest of jobs - especially in spidey 3

I think Tobey did a great job in the first two Spider-Man movies, it's just become sort of cool to hate the franchise now that Spider-Man 3 sucked.

Great body. But, no. Baby-faced. Someone with his physique along with Vladimir Kulich's face. That would be a great looking Thor!

It is too bad that time and opportunity did not match up.
We all have thought that Nimoy would have made a great Sub-Mariner....yes?
Rutger Hauer should have been Magneto.....or even Pietro at a younger age.
As much as i am loathe to say it......Arnold should have been Thor.
And Robert Redford could have been Cap.
And Clark Gable would have fit nicely for Tony Stark.

idk....just some thoughts

Oh.....i almost forgot....Rene Russo......as Wanda

Chris Hemsworth has been chosen to play Thor. Hiddleston is playing Loki.

How have you guys forgetten to mention that Kenneth Branagh is the director for this movie? That's probably the biggest reason why I'm excitd to see how Thor comes out to be...

is he really that good a director? i just checked his imdb and besides frankenstien (which i do love as a movie) he's mostly only directed shakespeare, which i haven't seen.

but i am glad for hemsworth, give him long hair and he looks exactly like Ultimate Thor

I enjoy both those casting calls, even though my Thor knowledge is mainly from Avengers stuff

There's a reason he primarily directs Shakespeare: He's damn good at it.

I'm personally very happy with the two actors he's cast so far and I'm confident that whatever Branagh brings to this movie, it'll be something we haven't seen in a comic book movie before.

I watched Much ado About Nothing directed by him and I didn't think it was that good.

However if anybody saw Wallander on BBC 1 a while back, his performance in that was excellent. I agree with Curi though, whatevr he does, it will be different to your standard comic book adaption. I wonder whether he is a comics fan, particularly of Thor?

They should get Emily Blunt for Lady Sif

seems like someone who Kevin would get

- Is Young 26 years old to be exact which is 1 year older than our Thor
- Is From the UK
- Is a Great Actress With a Golden Globe
- Looks like the character
