So I know this was gonna be bad, but I mean God damn that was horrible. Worse than Ghost Ship.

I give it a -999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999/10

With all the other new and cool shit out... you opted to see this instead of one of the others?
(assuming you saw this in theaters)

Well, that kind of sucked. But this is just what happens when you make a movie about ghost pirates.

Haywire, good movie, there's a gag in it where a cop calls Gina Carano's character "Wonder Woman" as a joke, but now i can't help thinking, she really would make a good Wonder Woman.

I will say this, Lehane klnows how to write some incredible books, Ben Affleck should start directing more then acting, Casey Affleck and Ed Harris stole the fucking show.

See that´s where I think this movie is brilliant. First it throws that curved ball of making the first 30/45 minutes seem like the whole movie, and from then on it gets stronger until that last scene.

A part of me thinks that the guy is right, but knowing her mother, how she operates and the people she surrounds herself with, it also seems that he did the wrong thing.

Fuck man, that´s the beauty of this movie, it fucks your morals big time...

I agree that "Gone Baby Gone" was amazing. I saw it when it came out and dug it, but I wasn't in love with it, but it's one of those movies that never left my head. Recently I bought it and I realized how amazing it was. Truly a great flick. It's a shame that "The Town" isn't as good, but I think that in that one Affleck was aiming for more of a popcorn movie than anything else and it was a damn good one.

75/100

Too many predictable plot points, too much shaky-cam/fast cut battle and fight scenes, some unresolved plot points, at times too manipulative and The Queen outranks everyone else in terms of performance and character. That said, it was entertaining with a great sense of atmosphere in parts and some clever interpretations of the original fairy tale. Definitely has some Del Toro and Miyazaki inspired moments, or so it felt, so at least it seemed like it was being made by someone who is at least a bit literate in fantasy literature and film. A nice try, overall.

the fog was good... in concept, could have been expanded a lot further. the movie itself was sub-par, i just like seeing zombie ghost pirates.

As to the Town, truth be told the material wasn´t as heartwrenching as GBG. It was softer...

If it wasn't for this article:

http://www.screened.com/news/taking-dow ... heat/3093/

I would've thought of The Town as just another completely derivative, unimpressive action flick.

Nah, at the very least it´s another movie where Renner gives a stellar perfomance, Affleck shows that he can act, and Hamm solidifies his role as "I can play everything" dude
