Mars Attacks!

That was a neat little parody of brain-dead alien invasion effects spectaculars.

It's cheesy as all hell, but it's a really sweet movie and an excellent prequel to The Dark Knight.

So, did the bitch left him and he decided to keep smilling, or did he fuck around and she decide to make sure that he was gonna keep being sucessfull with the ladies, namely with his big smile?

The Bourne Identity
The Bourne Supremacy
The Bourne Ultimatum

Dem car chases...

Awesome movies. Really building up until the last one. Nice how they interwined Supremacy and Ultimatum.

Out of curiosity for anyone who has seen it, there's no scene at the end of the credits, right?

I know I should be posting this in the appropriate thread, but I'm trying to avoid it, but have they also significantly changed Bane's voice? There's a comparison video of the prologue that was shown a few months ago, and the finished product. Bane sounds terrible:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShlukoB1xMY

I did notice the change. I also found myself preferring the original version at first, but as the movie goes along and you understand more of Bane as a character and Hardy's performance, I found myself okay with it. It makes sense after a while.

I guess he had to smile a bit wider to eat that whole duck.

I think the re-done version sounds a lot better, actually. It's just more intelligible.

Maybe I'm just more familiar with how it sounds in the prologue, but I found (just based on this scene) that Bane sounded more monstrous in the original. The re-done version is definitely clearer, but it doesn't sound as consistent, and in some cases he gives the lines an odd inflection (like when he says "of course!". In fact, there were times it didn't even sound like it was Tom Hardy.

Brave-8/10
Not the best thing Pixar has ever done, not by a long shot. A bit too predictable and with jokes and gags we've seen before. But entertaining, beautifully directed and with a great message.

The Dark Knight Rises (2nd viewing)-10/10
I thereby declare this the best Batman movie ever made and my favorite of the trilogy.

I agree with this entirely. The animationw as superb, but it lacked the emotional delivery of Up. I feel like Brave is more akin to Bug's Life or Cars/Cars2, they will be remembered as fun kids movies, but not great films.

One of the first international shows I worked on (2005 - 6) was about a redhead tomboy-girl wanting to be a knight in a boys world... she had to challenge other's fears and preconceptions of the world around her to gain respect and carve out her own existence. Can't be bothered with watching this film when I already worked on 26 episodes of it!

:P

I can't speak for TMD, but I know I am kind of in the middle of those two, I agree with parts of both of their arguments, but I also agree with Ben on some of his points.

I definitely agree about the lack of emotion.

Yeah, I'm also in the middle of it. I actually don't harbor any harsh feelings towards it. It was sweet and very well-made and I felt it pushed boundaries for mainstream american animation, which is why it's flaws are so annoying because you get the sense they could have gotten things to a higher level and they never did it.
