Thomas Pynchon's least messed-up narrative is set to become a movie, starring Joachim Phoenix and directed by P.T. Anderson!

I'm a huge Pynchon fan, and this L.A.-noir-trippy novel could make a great movie. Apparently RDJ was considering the lead role as the psychedelic-gobbling detective until recently...

I deffinitely should watch more P.T. Anderson after I saw There Will Be Blood.

I read the book two years ago and enjoyed it very much. I thought Robert Downey Jr. was perfect for the main role, though. But now I'm convinced Joaquin Phoenix can do anything, so I'm definitely very curious. I wonder if this would be PTA's Boogie Nights for the 21st century.
