Besides, Terry O'Quinn won an Emmy for his work on Lost.

You know what's funny about that Emmy win, is that Michael Emerson was also nominated for Lost and lost (no pun intended, again) to Terry O'Quinn, just as Ben loses leadership of the Others to Locke.

EDIT: I found the actual fight and the smokin' (no pun intended) hot mud scene.

And on a random aside, let's not forget the most Emmy-robbed episode in TV history...

Alright, so the most popular theory about tonight's episode. Remember when they found the beach camp ransacked with an Ajira Airways ticket and randomly appearing boats? Most people assume this happened in the future, after the Oceanic Six have returned. The O6 found the beach camp, took what they needed, and got those boats. Then Locke and co. showed up, took one of the boats, and sailed off. The O6 are the people in the other boat, not realizing they're shooting at their own people. Luckily time travel saved them.

It was a pretty good episode, although I didn't like it as much as the previous one. The revelation that Jin is alive, was a bit of a surprise, although one most of us have suspected for a while now. I think the reveal that Daniellle and her crew would have been more surprising had they not been speaking french. It tips you off that she was probably going to pop up.

Yeah, but... the boat they were on, wasn't a little modern for the supposed time they arrived?

Was it? Keep in mind that they arrived on the island sometime in the late 80's.

Rousseau showed up in 1988. As a reference point, that was three years after Watchmen. It wasn't exactly the Stone Age,

Oh yeah, my mistake. I was confused because that boat seemed very much like the one with the Oceanic Six (remember last season finale?). To be honest, I don't know very much about that kind of stuff.

Don't worry, I got confused about the raft too. I also confused it with the Zodiac raft, so I was like "wait, did Rousseau's team steal their raft? And then time travel?"

Well, that was a fucking awesome episode. Montand finally lost his arm! The Monster guards the Temple! Ben is a lying bastard (oh wait...)! Christian is a sarcastic badass! Charlotte is finally gone! Ben lost his temper and is threatening to turn this car around and take both of you home, mister!

I thought it was a good episode, but over at the IMDb boards everyone is like "It's the best episode ever!". I definitely didn't think it was that good! I wish Danielle had her own flashback years ago. This really didn't do her justice. The ending wasn't really that satisfying. I don't know, I'm not digging this season like it did season 4.

Great episode. I fucking knew Christian was Jacob lol. I could tell from the shoes that Jacob wore in the cabin. They were the same as Christian's and no one else had them.

I am aboslutely loving this season. But I'm a sucker for time travel, so they're pushing some of my favourite geek buttons right now.

But yeah, not the best episode ever, or even this season. It was really good though.

Gods but I dread explaining things when I rewatch the episode with others who can't remember what happened last week, let alone last season. Every time a certain element returns to the show, I have to explain what it is.

Christian isn't Jacob. At least I don't think it was stated explicitly.

Locke went to the cabin to speak with Jacob.
Christian said that Locke went to the cabin to speak with him. Dunno, seems like the same person.

On the other hand, I REALLY liked this episode. FINALLY Charlotte is dead, I hated her. Really loved the Danielle part, specially seeing Jin disappearing. That ads to her crazyness.

Locke went to speak with Jacob twice. The first time was in season 3, where he went with Ben. The second time, the time Christian is referring to, was in season 4. Instead of Jacob, he met Christian who said he was speaking to Locke on Jacobs behalf. So, not Jacob.

Some people think Christian is lying and misleading Locke and isn't really speaking for Jacob, but that begs the question of where Jacob was when Locke visited him in "Cabin Fever" and why Christian was there instead. I doubt Jacob was off buying milk. Also, Jacob and Christian were in the cabin at the same time when Hurley looked in the window in "The Beginning of the End," so I'd assume they work with each other and aren't the same person or enemies.

Wow, that was a great episode. I'm glad to see my years of preaching the "vile vortices/multiple windows to the island" theory come true.

It was decent. The story really picked up in the last 20 minutes or so. I don't like Mrs Hawking at all, however. Her acting style doesn't fit well with the series. She reads all of her lines like she's narrating for a children's movie.

Kind of disappointed Walt didn't make an appearance. I have a feeling they'll just lamely tie up his storyline in an episode. Then the writers will say "Walt just didn't fit in the direction we're taking the series".

Walt'll probably appear in the next episode since Walt said Locke visited him.
