I hate to dwell on the costume not looking great, but I'm surprised the coloring doesn't look that much different from what we saw from the set photos. Also don't like how the eyes now look dark, like sunglass material. I guess that's more realistic, though. I think it would have been really bold had they made his costume black. Not because of a symbiote, though, just have it be black. I suppose it would make him almost invisible at night, and it's not as recognizable as the red costume, but of the two classic costumes, it makes him look more like a spider. Is there any reason why he wore red and blue in the first place?

I think this movie is going to have a tough time attracting the older fans. I still see people saying how pointless it is to have a reboot so soon after the previous movies.

really older fans is what this would attract it has a darker tone than the previous films

rami films were more aimed at children

He's saying that the fans of the original movies are going to resent a reboot regardless of its tone. I think you're interpreting his comment differently.

I'm not the least bit surprised that the advertisers are pushing the grittier material, complete with the commentary on masked vigilantism. After all, they've been trying to equate themselves with Batman Begins from day one.

Most concerned with the Lizard's appearance.
Raimi would've never let him be so damn bland.

I hope for your sake you don't mean Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin, and Venom is debatable.

If anything, Raimi gave us THE RIGHT versions of Doc Ock and The Sandman.

That's why the original post was referring exclusively to Spider-man 3.
Why would I be referring to Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin when he wasn't even in the film?

I think this looks great. FINALLY a Peter Parker/Spidey who wisecracks. Y'know, like in the comics. A key feature of Spiderman's appeal that Raimi forgot.

This version is gonna gel much better with the Avengers/Tony Stark movie universe.

I thought we were speaking Raimi Spider-Man villains in general though.

Oh ! thank you t3cii.

Anyways, I don't think they could "gel", I mean, it's not like Sony and Marvel Studios are going to "share the universe", right ?

Donald Duck and Daffy would never have been able to share a piano if that was the kinda wall that couldn't be climbed.
