Yup, and I'll deffinitely agree that the last episode was just amazing.

But part of the reason why it was so good, to me at least, was because generally this show sucks the water out of the camel's hump; this episode in particular was a very telling case because it took something straight from the comic book, which to me indicates that this show is only good when it's stealing from the source rather than coming up with something original.

I enjoyed it. Not a super cliffhanger, buy okay.

Question? Was Terminus in the comic books?

Wow. You pretty much summed up my reaction perfectly. But,

SPOILERS just in case

yes, that one scene was probably the most harrowing scene the show has done. I'll give the show it's due, with that scene, the mid season finale, and Lizzy's end, the show has managed to give some genuine, nail biting moments this season. Very dark, although I have to question the loyalty of Joe and his people given how quickly they were willing to turn on that one guy just because he lied about the rabbit. Still, that ending was super corny. Not so much the actual ending, just Rick's final line. I guess they knew how viewers would react to having these characters end up in such a tight spot (plus having the whereabouts of Beth, and Tyreese and Carol completely up in the air) so the added that zinger at the end.

no, it was not. at this point in the comics what's left of the group after the governor's tank assault on the prison (slightly different cast in the comics as opposed to the show) are still kinda running around trying to catch up with each other, some crazy cannibal hunters come along and there's also a church with a priest, both being alluded to in these last few episodes.

also in regards to that ending line, the problem is switching out "fucking" with "screwing" for the sake of it being a tv show. same idea, but less power in its execution. rumor has it there will be an alternate scene that puts back in "fucking" for the release set/netflix streaming.

Well, there's a thousand times more momentum.

SPOILERS

I'm kind of glad the Terminus storyline was so brief. But the show does benefit from human antagonists, and last night was only episode three.

Anyone watch mid-season premiere? Anyone care?

I thought it was a pretty good episode.

i forgot this thread existed

my thoughts so far

*didn't expect tyreese to go out so soon, although i kind of guessed he and beth would die this season due to the fact that their names appeared in a dark tunnel in the intro credits. amc i hope this doesn't become a recurring thing, because if it is then abraham is next to go. it's nice to see them finally getting to alexandria, the show will certainly take a different turn with the group trying to now live normal lives for once, at least until the big ass herd and negan show up.*

basically, we're in for some shit

No, I'm still watching. I must just not have noticed this thread.

Spoilers

So far, I've found the season to be kind of boring. This was also somewhat true of last season, but last season also had some good stand alone episodes. Now that these characters are in Alexandria, and there are still five episodes left, can we assume the conflict will become more internalized?
