Yup, that was a good 'splosions reel to ensure the bums-on-seats and opening weekend numbers.

Liking Banner/Hulk... so much better than the Norton version.

The big thing at the end looks a bit like it's lost it's way from the last Transformers movie, but other than that...
YEEHHAAAW!

YES.

I think that was my favorite moment from the trailer as well.

Also, two things.

1. Stark Tower is bad-ass.

2. Seeing Black Widow apparently frightened/shocked out of her gourd is disconcerting seeing as how we've seen her be nothing but completely cool and collected up to this point.

I had the impression there was some sort of "closeness" between those two.

Romance sub-plot anyone :D ?

Entirely possible... they are the two humans on the team without messed up powers or alterations. And they share a weapons/tight latex fetish. Spin-off movie, perhaps?

I get what you're talking about, but that's not really what I was referring to at all.

We know, it's just that this is more interesting.

Actually, I just re-watched the trailer for the fiftieth time, I can see how Feli confused that.

I was actually referring to the part where she's lying on the ground or something, but yeah, either one works.

Also, Stark Tower. DAT TOWER

I didn't confuse anything, I was simply making another comment on Black Widow and Hawkeye :|

Well, you referenced Hawkeye without naming him as if I'd mentioned him in my post.

So you just thought I meant the part where Black Widow said they weren't prepared for this to Hawkeye near the end of the trailer.

And what she means is that neither of them brought a condom.

i totally agree about how awesome stark Tower is, I especially love Stark's "suit removal whilst walking along" thing.

it was cool how Iron Man was punching and kicking Thor. But i'm sure Thor will laugh it off before getting back up and almost murdering Iron Man. Also, I highly doubt Captain Americas shield would withstand a blow from Mjolnir. That part of the trailer always bothers me.

Still, best part was Hulk rescuing Iron Man mid air :D

Jeremy Renner looked badass falling off the building while taking aim at whoever was unfortuneate enough to be in his sights!

That's not really the absurd part, the real "shocker" is that after that hit, Cap will stand tall, unharmed and without a scratch, when in reality, his entire body should be left a complete mess of shattered bones.

It's basic physics, if a body of mass is hit with tremendous force, the weakest part will yield and be the first to break, the strongest part of Captain America is his shield, and everything else is just game.

Question: Do we know that's actually Thor? I mean yes there's the look, and yes everything feels like it is Thor... but remember who the villain is. Maybe at one oint in the movie Loki lures Thor to another part of the world, and creates a fake Thor to infltrate the Avengers... and that's who we're seeing. Thus, it wouldn't ACTUALLY be Mjolnir.

That's totally just a theory though.

Really? It's farfetched for Loki, the god of decpetion, to deceive people?

Maybe it's a skrull.

A good theory indeed, but Mjolnir doesn't do "mystical" damage, it's a fucking metal hammer wielded by an individual with enough strength to punch The Hulk, presumably, a fake Thor would have to be as dangerous.

Unless it was one of those "mind over matter" situations.

Well, anyone could punch the hulk, they just wouldn't do damage ;)

That being said, if it is not Mjolnir, just a copy, it's just a normal hammer wielded by essentially a phantom. I know you don't want to admit it but Captain America is at the peak of what a human can be and still be human, he's fucked up Giant Man and has fought Hulk, out dueled Iron Man and Spider-Man, to name just a few... I think he could stand a blow from a phantom
