Just came back from the conclusion of Operation "Fanboy Wet Dream", and upon close inspection of the so called Avengers Initiative, I can state that if you tought that report that I posted a couple of months ago was fan wank, then holy shit my friends, you are gonna come with the strength of a Tesseract as you watch this movie.

A lot of the assumptions we made troughout months were either semi-right, or outright right.

Don´t really know what kind of sucess this will have in monetary and critical terms, but fuck me, this was almost everthing I ever wished(they gave Hulk more personality through his actions, but still didn´t allow him to vocalize as much as I wanted).

Really like the fact that this was an ensemble piece and not Iron Man & Friends. On top of that I´m suprised that the movie wasn´t so much as fighting the villain, as it was figthing their diferences and becoming a tem in the truest sense.

So, when are going to create the spoilers thread?

Good to hear it turned out so well from a fellow fan.

Also, I hate you.

I'll asume this means there was no "Hulk Smash!"

To which I say: YES !!!

Bear no ill will my forum brother, it seems that I fucked up. After the movie ends there´s a part composed of personalized credits. After those special credits, there´s a scene detailing the Avengers next enemy. After seeing that I tought to myself "So they moved it from the end?Cool." And then left.

Now I hear reports that there´s one at the end of the regular credits. Been looking around, and only one site substantiates this idea, but until Avatar and Feli see the movie, I´ll think I fucked up.

Unlike what some say, the Hulk only talked once, but it was a classic just like the smash bit. That being said, Banner was featured prominently,as much as the others. The Hulk only appears in two spearate ocasions in the movie, but when he shows up, it´s awesomeness overload time.

My problem with Marvel´s interpetation of the Hulk is that they seem to not want us to create empathy towards the Hulk. In TIH he was a mute wrecking ball. In this one he has more personality, but that just flows from his actions(2 lol moments will ensue in New York involving the Hulk, that never showed up in the trailers). They need to give the Hulk some redemption when he´s trashing "inocent" places and people. The cild-like persona of Savage Hulk would be a good idea, since they haven´t decided to bring Doctor Hulk aboard, so that the Dr. Jekill and Hyde methaphore can still be used, it would be really helpfull to do so in a new Hulk movie.
And here´s hoping that Marvel gives Rufallo a stand-alone movie. Really like the guy as Banner, and cool mo-cap. They even changed paradigms with Rufallo´s Hulk when it comes to transformations and the control Banner has upon them.Hey, if necessary get Stark in it, show the birth of Hulk-Buster gear, to atract those who wouldn´t normally go watch a Hulk movie. They established that Banner and Stark were on the same wave length.

And to think that this movie is just a tune up for the real battle...

The one that seems to be floating in the interwebz is the one after the personalized credits, the one that I saw. There´s rumors that there´s another one not setting Avengers 2 or any other movies that were lead-ins to the Avengers, but a new property.

To be honest, I actually like Hulk as an unsympathetic creature, when they try to make him good they usually fuck it up and have him crying over dumb shit *COUGH COUGH GREG PAK COUGH COUGH* !

If we, comic-book readers, were more mature, we would accept the idea of a Hulk more like Mr. Hyde instead of Frankenstein, a malevolent creature that can save the day and kill the bad guys, although at a terrible cost in innocent lives and destruction, Banner's story would be one of redemption instead of amateur assholism.

ANYWAYS.......loved your news on The Hulk :) !

Though I don't know now if I'll see the movie this friday, theaters close to me are showing........it...............DUBBED  !!!

So I'll hang back for today at least.

dubbed?!?! that sucks man, is it normally really bad?

you can't blame them though, it's not like everyone is fluent in English.

I know, but holy fuck man, AT LEAST it could have subtitles as most movies here do.

Don't know yet though, I'll wait a couple of days, as I long as I see it before most people here

A week from tomorrow for me, I already have the day requested off work and me and a work friend (and several of his friends) are all going. Should be fucking sweet.

It's a big budget family movie, with a high income potential, but you'd think a big cinema would have it on 2 screens so they might as well have it dubbed on one and subbed on the other right? Anyway I hope somewhere had it subtitled for you somewhere before everyone has seen it.

Well, let's see what happens, I checked the "schedules" (?) at about 8:30 today, a little early perhaps, hopefully tomorrow it will be subbed somewhere.

See bro, you are making the same mistake that Brooklyn made.If they followed everything in the comics by the line, the movie woud be vastly diferent. We can get traped by previous mistakes in other mediums.

Thing is, both TIH and The Avengers establish that the Hulk is the lesser of two evils. And I think that said approach is aceptable most of the times, like when he fought Blonsky and some ocasions in the Avengers. But when he fights semi bad guys like the US Army, and another ocasion on the Avengers, there has to be a silver lining to the chaos and destruction inflicted.

It´s the Skrull without the Skrull. Namely the Chitauri.

I looked up the after credits scene because I knew it wasn't going to diminish my enjoyment of the movie or the scene itself, most likely.

...

HOLY FUCK!!!

Yep, the groundwork has been done, now they just need someone to provide the voice...

So it seems that unlike the usual comic book tie-ins this one actually is worth it. A prequel to the movie, and one that answers questions about the previous movies(it says what happened to the Leader after TIH).

Can't they use the guy that did it in the scene? Or was that not him speaking?

I was on the fence about this, but maybe I'll read it now.

If nothing else it'll quench my Avengers thirst 'til Thursday.
