As for The Punisher getting back to Marvel, hopefully it'll be great, but I think they'll shelve him for a LOOOOOOOOONG time, The Avengers is too hot right now, and I don't see them trying new shit with characters not named Thor, Captain America, Hulk, Black Widow, Iron Man, Hawkeye and Nick Fury.

There were rumors of a TV series, if I recall correctly... Think "Dexter" but with Frank Castle, that was their plan.
They also wanted to do series with Hulk (Guillermo Del Toro was involved) and Cloak and Dagger.

The Punisher tv show is still up in the air, although it sounds as un-Punisher like as it can get. The Hulk tv show as a lot of backing in Marvel, and with the sucess ofg Ruffalo´s Hulk they seem determined to get it up and running...

Why makes you think this ?

I think the Hulk show is a failure waiting to be made, a proper show about The Hulk that can somehow achieve the same standards as what people have seen in The Avengers is going to take insane amounts of cash and backing, and that is just too hard for me to see.

On the other hand, a Punisher TV-show is a magnificient idea, it is feasable (sp), you just need the right actor, and the right network, clearly it can't be an ABC or NBC show.

From what I´ve read the show is gonna be toned down,and it´s gonna be more like Dexter(Castle within the police,using their resources to help him). But you are right, a Punisher tv show is relatively easy to get right. Just put it on FX or Showtime, and it would kick many degrees of ass. The Hulk on other hand, is another diferent preposition,especially one that deals with early Banner. Would prefer that they made a Marvel sponsored Blade tv show to build up the character and forget the last abomination with Sticky Fingaz

Last I heard, Fox just declined having a Punisher tv show on their network. Even so, it sounded like a complete failure. Castle as a cop that fights as a vigilante by night a la Dexter? Yeah, I don't thinks so. Also, I'm not terribly excited about that Hulk show either. I'd imagine they'd focus more on the Banner character than the actual Hulk.

But seriously, I dread the day that Marvel Studios makes their own Punisher flick and shoves him with all the other super heroes. If they were smart, they'd continue to produce The Punisher under the Marvel Knights brand and give us that gritty, Punisher Max-esque film we've always wanted. Same thing goes with Blade too.

I also would love if Tom Jane could return to the role.
