Houston ! A rationalized response has landed succesfully :) !

Otherwise...

Everything I said still stands.

There's a lot of stuff that negates what you said in that page.

But you are tired, you need to sleep, go on.

I'm... american.
Canadian? What?
WHAT? EH? COME AGAIN?

Actually Feli is right.
Normally I don't get to bed until like 5 am.
But stuff has happened and my sleep schedule is off.

But this has nothing to do with anything!
ANYTHING!

I am going to turn around, and walk out of this thread.
Now.

Goodbye.

I think it's funny that you guys sometimes capitalize the letter "t" in my user name.

I just automatically do it if it with user names if they happen to be at the beginning of a sentence.

I've revealed the meaning here a good while back, but it basically stands for my name, and it was something I came up with in high school. I was helping a friend with an art project that involved a small set for a street. I used it as a graffiti tag on one of the buildings. The "3" was supposed to be like a backward "E" (substituting letters for numbers was big at the time), which is the first initial of my middle name. I was named after my father, so I added a roman numeral "II". When I created my yahoo email account, I used it as I was unable to use my actual name. Yahoo then changed it to lower case. I then used it as my IMDb name, and when this site was created, I decided to keep it as a way for some of the members who were posting at the Watchmen boards who joined this site to recognize me.

All this time I thought it was slang for techie which is slang in and of itself.

My life is a lie.

Don't feel too bad. Broken Finger though it was the name of some obscure droid from the Star Wars universe.

Yeah, and Broken Finger didn't get what my name was a reference to...

I'm pretty sure it was Broken Finger, but in one of our fights he called me out personally because my name doesn't make sense because I'm not from Brooklyn... and I still have the bruise from that face palm...

Ouch. That must've left quite the dent.

Ghostbusters only holds up because of nostalgia. The Star Wars franchise is starting to bore me immensely. I've watched The Avengers twice in a theater.

Ghostbusters holds up because it has a wire tight script, the performances are all solid, it has a great score and soundtrack, and it finds the right balance between comedy and fantasy (can't really call it horror). It also hasn't aged all that much, despite some of the effects seeming quite dated (although they looked dated even back then). If anything, the effects add to its charm. It's a movie that works on multiple levels, where kids can get into the whole fantasy aspect, while adults can appreciate its humor. And despite the fact it's primarily a comedy, the Ghostbusters genuinely feel heroic by the end of the movie.

Eeeh... I don't know, I saw it for the first time, say, two years ago. I remember thinking "That was it?"
Maybe it is just me that couldn't enjoy the movie for what it is, maybe the internet hyped the thing for me way too much. While I really liked the characters and concepts, I thought the movie itself wasn't that solid. As I see it, nostalgia factor takes part on it's popularity right now.

But hey, it has happened to me more than once. Who would have thought Beetlejuice would actually have so little screen time in a movie named after him?

I can't think of any weak points in the movie, which is why I think it's so solid. It moves at a very steady pace, there's few (if any) points where the story drags. As for nostalgia, you're basing that on the fact it didn't meet your high expectations. While I'd be lying if I didn't feel nostalgia for the movie, there are a lot of movies that are just as nostalgic that simply don't hold up upon a closer look. The Wizard of Oz, for example. It's such a part of my childhood that I can't imagine not loving it, yet it has an abrupt as fuck climax, some really hokey acting, and the ending is "all just a dream". I loved the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movie, yet feel know compulsion to own it, or watch it again. I thought Independence Day was great fun when I first saw it, but that movie, probably more than any other, holds up very poorly.
