I'll believe it when I'm sitting in a theatre waiting for it to start...

I'll buy it when I see a trailer.
But... we've heard this SO many times.
I'm BEYOND skeptical.

If they have ANY smarts at all, it will go: Snyder's Superman movie, rebooted Batman (one that works within the rest of the DC universe, 'Something else' movie (Martian Manhunter unlikely, but DAMN I would love that!)... then JL.

This needs it's own thread, I guess.

A Martian MAnhunter solo movie isn't needed, and this is coming from probably the biggest Martian Manhunter Fan on the boards... His best stories would make horrible "super hero" movies because they aren't actiony, they are intellectual and reflect his nature as an intellectual... as an art house super hero movie MM could work, but he doesn't have any real villains that would make for the kind of movie that they would need to make to establish JL.

Things like the DeMatteis mini, the Ostrander run, and other serious MM tales back me up here... this is also the reason he can never carry a solo book, a super hero is only as good as their villains...

Yeah i agree. But this is DC, not Marvel, and the best of DC has always taken the space and time to get a bit cerebral. A gloomy Manhunter movie would probably save their ass as they flesh out the JL, stepping away from the loud actioneer-traffic jam that the superhero movie market is becoming. An intriguing idea, though one that's maybe too smart for Hollywood.

I don't actually care about seeing a Justice League movie so much as I just want to see some individual characters that never got the big screen treatment. Like the Flash and Captain Marvel, for example.

Iw on't argue there, but I'm just saying a heady cerebral fhero film isn't what is needed to set up the JL, a MM film would work best in his own continutity, but even then it would be an extremely hard sell.

Kind of. It'd probably really screw with the pacing, though.

...and goes completely against Joss Whedon's interviews before release, stating that the theatrical cut IS the directors cut, and the only version that would be seen.
I think a 'Director's Cut' might include the shawarma (sic) scene at the end, which was only seen in the states, and that's it.

Well, from what I heard there were more Captain America scenes, but those got cut for a more global appeal (don't know if that was truth or rumor though)

I doubt they were cut for global appeal. People seemed to lap up the Captain America movie regardless of whether they lived here or not. I'm pretty sure the Captain America scenes were cut because it would throw off the balance of the movie. Joss Whedon didn't want it to be Captain America and The Avengers.
