Really? I mean, Sam Rockwell's a great actor, but I just can't see him as a bloodthirsty killer. Not to say that Cassidy is entirely a homicidal maniac, but he needs to have that crazy-dangerous edge to him at all times.

Watch Confessions Of A Dangerous Mind.

Also, for Saint Of Killers I'd like that guy who played Hollis Mason in Watchmen and Hammerson in Shoot Em Up.

Um... I don't know if McHattie has that "scare the shit out of people with a look" look

So what actors have that look?

Peter Stormare?

Image

Michael Madsen?

Image

Clancy Brown can be one scary mofo

Image

Josh Brolin could work, although he's sort of done a similar looking character before

if we can't have eastwood (which we can't) Brown should do it, he's got that gravelly voice, that look of pure pissed offedness and has played tough guys before to success.

The other threee aren't scary at all... especially Stormare because with him up there all 'd expect is him to shoot some one and go "No funny schtuff"

Madsen would be my #2 of those 4 because of his role as Mr. Blonde, but still... I don't think he'd make a very good Saint

Not scary? Ever see Fargo?

Maybe I'm not sure what you define as being scary? Besides Clint Eastwood (who isn't particularly scary) who else would you suggest?

Michael Madsen and Clancy Brown would both be great for the part.

Stormare, I think, might be better suited for Herr Starr.

Most of my ideals are dead, and I don't reall y mean "scary" scary like I mean more like if you look at them you know you wouldn't mess with them, people like Lee Marvin, Charles Bronson, Clancy Brown, Eastwood (as I've said ad nauseum), Jason Statham, people like that

Yeah, I could see that a lot more than Stormare as the Saint

Jason Statham?

One actor who fits the tough guy, "scary" bill, would be Danny Trejo, but you'd have to rewrite the character a little.

Just so you know I don't mean for the Saint, I'm just saying in general

Not when there are other good options that you don't have to rewrite the character for.

See? Brown looks great

I should hope you're talking about Caruso and not me, buddy. The thought of some 20-something no-talent pretty-boy playing The Saint makes me want to puke as well.

Mickey Rourke as The Saint... I'd say that's worth an audition at the very least.

I'm having a bit more difficulty with Custer, to be honest. And who the hell could play Tulip?

Jon Hamm

In all honesty, I can't think of anyone... these characters are just too hard to cast

Was just thinking recently, how about Ron Perlman for The Saint?

Image

See? I even included a pick of him in a cowboy hat!
