...The Time Machine from H. G. Wells, anyone?

Why I constantly brought back old materials? don't know, don't care.

Shit, I want my own! The parallelism is so intricated!

Well let's change the title into "The Time Machine reminds me of The Second Renaissance" and move it to the 'books' category then. :?:

I'm still trying to figure out what you're talking about.

Yeah I'm a god forsaken one liner.

But srsly, when you compare the machines with morlock and the humans with eloi you will realize that Second Renaissance is simply a modern version of The Time Machine.

It's a proletarian uprising with its participants free from human defeciency, machines are the perfect proletarian, or shall we say, its ultimate form.

I hated the animatrix.

But what it reminds me of is an episode of Coename: Kids Next door where they tell the story of how kids made adults and then the adults took over. (Which was a parody of this episode)

But no, it doesn't make me think of The Time Machine at All

Why would you want to euthanize the people who have working brains?

I wouldn't, YOU don't have a working brain !

I know there was a couple of trippy and just bad shorts in The Animatrix, but most of the other stuff was amazing.

That implies you didn't like "A Detective Story."

You are a terrible human being.

I would assume you didn´t like "The Matrix", am I correct?

To be honest here, it is I who do not like The Matrix.

Animatrix, particularly The second renaissance, is much more informative.

I'll set the record straight, whle i enjoyed the Matrix... I think it is a highly overrated film (the sequels were especially shitty but everyone agrees on that one). When i first saw the trilogy i was in 8th grade and my mind was blown, upon later viewings... I wasn't nearly as blown away. I mean the first one is a good enough movie, but I wouldn't put it high on a list if i were ranking my favorite sci-fi films

I thought The Matrix was cool, but not particularly great.

Anyway, I think that comparing this segment to The Time Machine has to be more valid than comparing it to an episode of Kids Next Door.

the KND episode parodies the segment

....Oh.

Still, I was mainly referring to inspiration The Second Renaissance could have gotten from other sources or made allusion to, not the other way around. I should have been a tad clearer there.

i for one liked the Animatrix, for sure, (i recently aquired the matrix ultimate box set on BD)

to be honest i'm not sure if it's just the Second Renaissance that was inspired by The time Machine, the whole series' Human/Machine relationship is very similar to the Eloi/Morlock relationship

You got that right, It's just that Second Renaissance has best explained what was omitted by the time traveller.
