In other news, seems like Levitt had to pull out due to a scheduling conflict. It was such a minor part, though, that it's no real loss.

Also, recent photo of DiCaprio at a basketball game. Okay, so I know this isn't news, but it does show him sporting facial hair, so it gives us some idea of what he might look like in the film.

they'll possibly make him look more gaunt, with makeup and a bit of CGI perhaps?

but it seems foolish for slave owners to not feed their slaves well, a well fed slave makes a better worker surely?

I guess. But Django is a runaway slave. If memory serves me, the script begins with him having been caught and put on a chain gang of some sorts.
