I...I don't know what to say. This is the remake that breaks me. I'm normally fine with remakes or adaptation provided that they're some kind of passion behind it (see Matt Reeve's "Let Me In).

But this...this seems awful.

Anyways, I've calmed down a bit. It all depends on how they decide to film this remake. If all they're going to do is replicate the original film, and place it in a modern setting--then fuck this film. But if they're actually planning on being thoughtful, and actually attempt something new, then maybe it can be interesting.

But it'll probably be the former, and suck hard.

Why can't they just adapt another Brett Easton Ellis novel instead. It'd be cool if they like brought back the entire cast of Less Than Zero for an Imperial Bedrooms movie or something

Well, I knew he wasn't going to say it because I hadn't made any comments about remakes, and being anti remake is the worst thign a person can do.

Also, to be honest, I've never seen American Psycho... I've wanted to for a while, I just haven't gotten around to it... so I don't have too much to add to this thread

I don't think it will work, that's the same exact thing they're doing with Scarface. I understand the premise, but it's not what I would want to see. Shit, the next thing you know they'll try to put Star Wars into our time or something.
