Apparently she was Joss Whedon's choice when he was gonna make that WW show a couple of years back.

Here you go:

I love Cobie Smulders and I think Robin is one of the funniest female characters on television, but I don't see it.

Figured we could use a photo.

She's an attractive girl, and she's pretty decent on Friday Night Lights, but Wonder Woman? I don't know.

Jessica Biel is one of the few actresses that has the pysicality to play the role:

Hmmmmm... I could see that I guess, but for some reason with these truly iconic heroes I prefer lesser known castings.

Don't ask me to try and explain why.

yeah biel would be good, i was thinking more TV actress level since the NBC WW pilot is being made at some point, i was also specifically thinking of tall actresses, since it's easier to make a 5'11 actress look over 6ft than a 5'8 actress like Biel

I didn't know Wonder Woman was that tall. I've seen suggestions for Jodi Lynn Okief, and she certainly would look like the character. She's 5' 10".

She usually plays intense, villainous characters, though, and I wonder if that would work against her and if audiences would be able to see her in a heroic role.

I went ahead and split this from the "Next Superman" thread. Seems apropos anyhow, seeing as NBC is putting together a new Wonder Woman series.

Do I really need to split this thread a second time?

Back when Joss Whedon was trying to get the movie underway, I would've bet good money that Morena Baccarin would've gotten the job. Pity she's busy with V right now, though I hear that show is likely to get canceled soon.

Maybe..................................

If they make a wonder woman movie/tv show would they use the classic costume or the new one?

I'm not a fan of Wonder Woman at all, but it's kind of stupid to portray an amazon princess (whose origins lay in greek mythology) with a leather jacket, red gloves, and skin-tight pants.
