Well, it looks better then the Smallville version of Green Arrow.Heck, it looks better then Samllville as a whole. Consider me interested.

Just don´t like thrm ditching the "Green" bit...

I confess that I've been itching for a bit of campy superhero TV goodness since "The Cape" went off the air. This might fill the void very nicely.

Though I wish I had any idea just why the fuck DC/WB insists on keeping Greg Berlanti around.

I'm not really a Ollie Queen fan, but some of the confirmed guest characters really are making me want to watch this show.

So, here's Deadshot.

Anyone else think that eyepiece looks totally lame?

I've always really liked the character of Green Arrow, so I was interested when this show was announced. However, everything I've seen or read so far seems to indicate an attitude that seems ridiculous and counter-intuitive in a post-Avengers world. The writers of Arrow seem embarrassed. Embarrassed both by the character and by comic books in general. They give the expected lip-service to fans, what with Deadshot and the alleged Speedy references and everything, but they all (and by all, I mean Berlanti and Guggenheim) seem like they would rather be doing something more highbrow.

Even with the loss of Queen's politics (of which the exclusion kind of makes sense, by way of not wanting to halve your potential audience), his trademark beard, and half of the name, I will probably still try the show out, but I'm not expecting much.

I'm not familiar with the character, but that eyepiece looks very awkward. In fact, it doesn't look like it is covering his eye.

Sometimes I feel like Green Arrow is one of those characters that "suffer" from the same issues that Wonder Woman has, we live in a world now where it's difficult to make something serious out of a superhero that dresses like a participant of a republican-sponsored pageant, or a guy who dresses exactly like the Hollywood version of Robin Hood.

It looks like a bad cos play and the eye piece is too big for him, so it's drooping down his face. There goes a huge chunk of my anticipation for this show.

Exactly, it doesn't seem like it could have any practical use whatsoever.

I would prefer if they made it like modified nigh vision goggles, I knew they would do the full facial mask, but having this is just ridiculous.

At least in that picture the eyepiece matched with the orientation of the eye !

EXACTLY! I have no problem with the eyepiece, I love classic Deadshots full head mask, but f you are just going to do the eye piece... at least make it look cool and work, and look like it fits
