Well, I like what I'm seeing so far. Here's hoping that this next version of Cyclops doesn't turn out to be so bland.

This.
And with such a heavy emphasis on their casting, I'm thinking they'll probably be the foremost main characters.
which will be nice.

I sincerely wish each and every one of them better luck than their predecessors have.

Also, I'm really glad to see Tye Sheridan get more work. Mud was one of the most criminally underrated films in recent memory and he was incredible in that film.

Jesus, I'm glad they've finally re-cast him. He's a lot of people's favorite member of the team and I think his absence has been pretty notable ever since X2.

or if they're going to just leave out nightcrawler's parentage altogether

Given that Azrael was killed between First Class and DOFP, he's almost certainly not Nightcrawler's father. It's certainly possible that Mystique might have gotten knocked up in between movies, but I personally find it unlikely.

that was the future that was erased, though.

remember, dofp basically retconned the entire series from happening.

Ugh. I am not looking forward to seeing that whiny "kewl" girl who keeps getting captured. Here's hoping Singer has some better use for the character.

Wasn't Jubilee actually useful in the 90s animated series?

Oh, I so badly wish that my '90s childhood memories were wrong. Could someone enlighten us on the subject?

Great was a great -in- for the X-Men to be introduced.
Rogue was this in the movies as we know them. A runaway who the X-Men have to rescue and who eventually becomes part of the team.

Okay, but what about Jubilee?

if you can call shooting fireworks out your hands useful, then yes.

The movie should begin with her working at Disneyland.

Okay, but what about Jubilee?

It was a typo. My point was, Rogue was essentially Jubilee in the X-Men movies.
And as far as usefulness, I'm not addressing her power set, I'm talking about usefulness thematically.
How important she could be to the story. It's pretty obvious Rogue was a very important part of the first X-Men film.
That could've easily been Jubilee, and still can be if they play it right in this new one.

rogue would only be in the modern day segments, going by where this film takes place she would be either a baby or very young child and not discovered yet by xavier and magneto.

Not my point still.
Jubilee could have the same sort of role in X-Men Apocalypse that Rogue had in X-Men (2000)
I'm not saying Rogue should or would be in Apocalypse at all.
