Director/Co-Writer Edgar Wright's third film in his genre-satire series, dubbed the Blood and Ice-Cream Trilogy (starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost) will shoot in September.

Quote:
20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hell bent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King, a 40-year old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their home town and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub, The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries

Also called the Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy. It's a reference to some sort of ice cream desert native to Wright/Pegg/Frosts' home country. Each flavor (I believe strawberry, vanilla and mint) appears in a different film being purchased or consumed by a character, signifying the color theme and genre. So for Shaun of the Dead it is strawberry (red= the blood of zombie films), vanilla (which is in blue packaging) for Hot Fuzz (blue= the cops lights of the police films) and I'm to assume mint will somehow tie into the World End's. I believe it's a satire of apocalypse films though the plot description isn't straight-forward with it.

I wanna know who the 3 other friends are going to be other than Pegg and Frost?
Dylan Moran?
Peter Serafinowicz?
Jessica Hynes?

This looks awesome.
Martin Freeman is so at home with Simon and Nick. Love the look of Simon's character as well, the ageing-badly goth kid. I know a few of those back in NZ...

cheesy international trailer with awful voice over, but a lot more footage and jokes.
