Ugh, I hate to be "that guy" but because of the town I live in I can't read comics (no place sells them) and it's always been my dream to regularly read a running comic series (instead of picking up the odd graphic novel, here and there). I got really excited when I heard about DC's New 52, in particular for the Batman stuff. Could anyone PM me a link to a place that might... supply me with the Batman stuff, or get up to date on them? If you catch my drift

Or if you'd prefer me to buy my comics like any decent person, is there a way to get a mail-in subcriptiion for comics? :D

Also, which run on Batman should I get? If I have to pay for it, I'll probably only subcribe to one or two at the most, so which series should I go for? I'll naturally have to catch up but I wanted to start sooner or later, I've always felt left out tbh

What you actually want is http://www.dcbservice.com/
It's the one that most podcasters use.
And if you wanna get a current Batman series, get the Scott Snyder one, David Finch and Tony Daniel are fucking terrible.

Yep. Still great.

Also, Metal Slug.

Edit: I recently realized Rob Liefeld is drawing Hawkman now. I can only assume the book has zero redeeming features at this point.

So apparently they're launching this Issue Zero campaign in September or something.

Discuss, knaves.

Gimmicks! Everywhere!

Sounds kind of cool, though.

Gimmicks indeed !

Hope it turns out okay, it's very sound financially, but I really hope it's not so sound that they'd release "-1" issues.

I agree, it seems gimmicky, but at the same time the whole new 52 seemed like a giant gimmick, and that turned out okay, I think they have most of the new 52 planned pretty well, so I'm going to pick up all the issues for the series I've eben reading, even though I know the origins of all those characters.

So...Geoff Johns made Billy Batson a jerk...

I don't know if I'm cool with that.

All in all, though, I'm really digging the Justice League title more and more as well as the new 52 as a whole.

IAs long as Captain Marvel (not salling his the s-word) is still classic Captain Marvel. I also think more Billy's just misunderstood so he tries to distance himself from everyone because he's never actually had anyone there for him.

Yeah, I'm starting to realize that more as I'm reading more of it and I'm actually enjoying it quite a bit now.

This Billy also seems a bit more "Realistic" and a product of his environment. That being said, Captain Marvel had still better be smiley and chipper.
