Not to take a side... but humor, a lot of the time, is relative. There are things that make me laugh out loud that other people don't even chuckle at, and vice versa. There are even people who think Dane Cook is funny. That doesn't make him funny or not, that just means there are some people who do find him funny.


There are methods, techniques and theory behind comedy and what it is to actually be funny though.

I can admit, in the case of Gutters, that I am more tolerant to the new strips, because despite Sohmer not being as humorous as before, I still feel he is making a point, and he is always making sure he is covering every single topic in the industry, regardless of how funny that strip may be, that's something most webcomics don't have.
