Weeeeeeeeell, I wouldn't go THAT far

But I'm a little scared when Kirkman says he wants to continue writing this indeffinitely, when this is a series that should be seeing the end on the horizon.

see that's the thing, he's running out of things to do, so he just ends up going for shock kills, the occasionaly roamer onslaught, and interpersonal politics that he has done before (what people not trusting rick... that's so fresh and original!)

Be a little more open-minded, that's the way the comic rolls after all, death, mistrust, insanity, it's all part of The Walking Dead, criticizing that is like reading Batman & Robin and saying "Another fight ?! Another villain with an evil scheme ?!! Jesus christ, when will it EVER STOP ?!"

Not exactly, because batmana nd Robin has a a vast cast of every person in gotham, the best rogues gallery in comics, rotating writers and artist to keep it fresh and an evolving world.

The Walking Dead, as with most Zombie fiction, is set in a world populated with (for all intents and purposes) 30 or less people. I know those things are p-art of the comic but everyfew months having the same stuff happen... it just is getting old.

Hopefully this new development will shake things up a bit.

Hopefully, I'm kind of falling out of love with The Walking Dead as a franchise...

Then again you're quite impacient and ungrateful with this franchise

This arc hasn't been bad, issue # 84 was absolutely brilliant, though I can admit it needs a little more motion, the whole "safety" thing is not really working as well as The Prison or just Rick and crew roaming through the country.

Don't know how i missed this, but impatient? reading every issue and thinking that over 80 issues and 8 years there should be more movement of plot than there has been is impatient? Come now Feli.

that being said, i kind of like the idea of there being other communities, I am feeling optimistic that this is what the series needs to pull it out of stagnation.

You are impatient, reading a comic for eight years only means you like it.

I can agree that the title has lost some of it's key sense of dread and danger that surrounded the characters at all time, but it's still a great read, it's one of the few titles I've been bothering myself to pick up on-schedule.

For my part, I think one of the best, THE BEST issues of the series was # 84, it brought us closer and closer to the question: What the hell would Rick do without Carl ?

But impatient wouldn't let me wait for 80+ issues, i would have dropped it a long time ago if I was as impatient as you say.

Interesting development concerning Kirkman and (Tony) Moore.

Tony Moore and Robert Kirkman are having a legal battle.
Kirkman is bearded and says his own name a lot.
The Walking Dead is in the same genre that was defined by George Romero.
SOHMER IS A COMEDIC GENIUS!

What an ass.

He's an ass because he's pointing out that most of the recent Gutters strips kind of suck?

Or maybe we've gotten accostumed to his brand of humour ?

The previous one about Buffy sucked bad, as many before, but this one isn't bad, it's message is not as witty or very cerebral, but it's the truth, people in the comic industry should try to find more common ground rather than going overkill over legal disputes, specially childhood friends.

It's just not funny though, and not at all smart.
I only even slightly laugh at gutters about once every twenty five strips.

Not to take a side... but humor, a lot of the time, is relative. There are things that make me laugh out loud that other people don't even chuckle at, and vice versa. There are even people who think Dane Cook is funny. That doesn't make him funny or not, that just means there are some people who do find him funny.
