lol awesome, i didn't realise CLiNT was ahead of issues. i just read it last night, the kick ass segments are so short though :( and i have The Pro and American Jesus in TPB, so all i read the mag for is Turf, KA2 and now Superior.

I've never read the pro or American Jesus (hate the former, love the later) and I actually like the "magazine" stuff

But yeah, it's about half way through issue #2 right now...

i like the Pro, it's kind of a prototype for The Boys, and American Jesus, i was always a little undwhelemed by it, i went into reading it expecting it to be a little more Fire and Brimstone  it is a good story though
i love the magazine stuff too, latest issue's Snyder interview was good.

See, I look at all the stuff it's doing and know that the Boys does it better, so I can't really get behind it as it's own story. If I had readit first i'm sure I would have liked it more

which i did, so, yeah, and i fully admit that it's not as good as the boys, it's not as well drawn, but as a prototype it is enjoyable, and it's more of a comedy story than the boys, it kind of feels like the kind of comics for kids we have in the UK, but obviously more adult :D the art style is kind of like The Beano or The Dandy comics we have, and it has the same kind of slapstick humour.

I honestly think Ennis is too profane in The Pro so far, pretty much every other word is fuck and with Preacher and The Boys he's proven he is capable of more than just shock profanity.

I read Jennifer Blood # 1, and in the commentary Ennis berates himself for his profane style of writing.

But quite frankly, he's at his best when he is doing nasty, ugly, crazy shit, when he is being honest, it's what I feel is lacking in The Boys.

Then again, that's also an issue with him admitting once that he doesn't like much to do continuing series, as they take a lot of time, he prefers minis.

Feliciano will probably agree to this, but the series that he'll be thinking of will be different to the ones you're thinking of.

he's only written 2 ongoing series completely by himself, and that's all i was counting; series' that have had the same writers all through their run.
he only wrote up to issue 60 of The Punisher MAX if that's what you were getting at.

I was actually referring to Feli's undying love of Hellblazer. Also, I think you're forgetting Hitman.

don't really know much about Hitman, and Ennis didn't even create Hellblazer, so the "top 10" i was thinking of wouldn't count that, but we're way off topic now :D

hmm, we could discuss at US Clint speed, just say when you get each issue and then we won't discuss beyond that issue's events, i assume you have had issue 5 for a week or so, if you are a month behind?
