Since when did you start hating on Judd Winnick? I thought you read Under The Hood and liked it

I think the characters in their own series sound sort of lame. I'm not basing this on a lot, I'll just pull a NiteOwl right now and say I'm not being fair, but yeah, that's the reason.

Also, no, I haven't actually read Under The Hood yet.

My point, though, is that Avatar should maybe drop the ones he thinks aren't for him before even reading the first issues. But then again, his approach might be better.

that's fair enough, but how will i know which trades to buy, there's something like 7, or more batman related titles, which i'm kind of interested in all of, so at ~£10 a pop for trades that's £70 or more, or i can spend (i'm guessing here) £30 on the big book and maybe i'll decide Batwing, Nightwing and Catwoman are not for me, so that will instantly cancel out the expenditure, and it's not just the batman related titles i'm interested in, i also want to read the superman ones, and probably a good few others,

You can trust us :D ?

If you're interested in this baby:

Then you should deffinitely get it, it was quite the surprise to me and it was really really good.

I have a question. Do any of you think Batman: The Dark Knight is worth buying at all?

Nightwing and Catwoman have both proved that they can be awesome in their own solo series. Especially Nightwing, cos, I mean, he was so good at being awesome that they decided to make him Batman for a while, in the era of the bat-books where they were the freshest they'd been in years, but even before he wore the cowl his solo series had had a critically acclaimed run, as had Catwoman.
The only character of those three that I think might not be able to hold his own series, because whereas the other two characters have been members of Batman's cast since the 1940's, Batwing was only introduced like this year, and we've only seen him in action on a few panels.

When it was first announced I wanted no part of it, as I'd been buying it already and Finch was so slow that issues came out three months between eachother and the writing sucked. Now that Jenkins has been announced as writer, it might be worth picking up, but I imagine that nothing important will happen in it and it will be out of continuity in much the same manner as Astonishing X-men

I wouldn't, for one part it has Finch's ass-kicking art and one of my favorite Hellblazer writers, apart from also having a more "supernatural" tone, but we can't be sure if they will stick with their promises, as it stands, it's just another redundant Bat-title.

Kay, I probably won't get it then.

I claim ignorance. I still don't think I'll buy their new series right away, but I might check out those old ones sometime soon.

Yeah. I always forget to post about it in "Currently Reading". Also, it's mostly trades. I limit myself to one continuing title. I guess it's just CLiNT right now because goddamn it I went to the comic shop yesterday and the new Casanova is $5, which gets bumped up to £4.20 for shipping/taxes. Jesusfuckchrist I'm not paying that much for a comic.
Screw the dying kids in developing countries; there should be charities set up to help fund my comics purchases.

Also, I'm not really into the DCU.

Yeah, I read all the finch issues... and I'm passing on this.

And how come Ziller can say he's not being fair in stuff he doesn't know a lot about and nobody bats an eye but I said i wasn't being fair in my dislike of Nic Cage and I got chewed out from every which way?

Oh, I will.

Anyway, you know how I have that Batman Beyond shirt? It pretty much doubles for a Batwoman shirt because their symbols are exactly the same as far as I can tell. Two characters I love for the price of one. Hooray me!

Isn't Batwoman's symbol with smaller wings ? More leveled on the head of the bat ?

Only in her earlier appearances in 52. In her own books, you can't even tell the difference.

This product listing didn't even know what to call it. http://www.amazon.com/BATWOMAN-METALIX- ... B003THKBPK

One question about her # 1, is it true it's just 15 pages ?
