Why the massive do-over?
In my opinion, DC is just being an attention whore cause they can't contend with Marvel.

Well DC kind of does this every ten or fifteen years or so, the most prominent of which, that I'm sure every comic fan has heard of, is the aftermath of "crisis on infinite earths", but this time they're renumbering all the books as well.

fix'd and yeah.
In one way I'm glad cause I've been so outta touch and frankly kinda overwhelmed by the comic world.
I have probably never read a single regular canonical Batman comic.
Even when I was little, I dug Power Ranger comics the most.
I got into ultimate Spider-Man briefly but again... *sigh*
I'm a 'limited run' guy, 6-12 issues, self contained (most likely non-canon) story; its easy.

But the bigger picture always interested me.

Maybe this reboot will afford me the opportunity to get in there while I still can lol.

No I said I didn't like it. I understood it, hence why I didn't like it.

Man, can we ever get it right with Brooklyn's feelings ?

Why do you have to say stuff like this ? No offense pal, but it makes me think you're a child sometimes.

EDIT: Also, several sources are reporting this isn't really a reboot, it's a revamp, change of costumes, change of titles and renumbering.

everytime I hear about something new DC is doing its all drastic and headlining, then all too soon everybody has just... moved on. Like they're trying too hard or something.
This not-reboot kinda feels like a publicity stunt.
If thats not attention whoring, idk what is.

Yeah they're deffinitely not like those guys at Marvel who have made publicity about a movie almost three years in advance, who let people know a year before about yet ANOTHER comic book event of the five they release each year, or even of another "milestone issue" they're releasing *COFF* *COFF* Ultimate Spider-Man #159 *COFF* *COFF*

Indeed man, both "quite" and "discreet", as words in the dictionary, should have the marvel logo accompanying their deffinition.

yeah, publicizing movies and comics... your point?
DC is doing this (possibly) AS a publicity stunt.
Sole purpose is to generate attention for something that didn't really need to be done. (I wouldn't know)

You just answered your own question.

There's plenty of stuff that both companies don't need to do, but pretending one is doing those things while the other isn't is ridiculous.

It's the comic INDUSTRY dude. hope, pray, and wish as we might DC and Marvel aren't trying to challenge the boundaries or norms... they are trying to make money. If they think they can make more money with a revamp/reboot/rewhateverthefuckthisis than by george they'll do it.

it wasn't a comeback at all.
As much as I make mine Marvel, the DCU still has alot of characters and legacies I'd hate to see butchered.
So on one hand, this revamp makes me nervous and on the other hand, I'm kinda excited.

What DC titles do you currently buy and which ones from this reboot are you looking forward to and on the other hand feeling apprehensive about?

well as I said last page, I'm not currently buying any, but I stay as informed as possible on Superman and a few others.
But like i just said, I AM looking forward to this revamp as it could very well serve as a major induction point for me. I WANT to get into all this stuff, but the sheer amount of material out there is daunting.
I am looking forward to Justice League Dark, Green Lantern The New Guardians, and Batwoman.

It's funny because it's written by len wein and not claremont. Nonetheless it's still a great issue though.
