This thread was prompted by Nite-Owl's photo in the action figures thread, where I noticed that all of his comics are bagged and boarded.
I leave most of my comics loose in the long-boxes, except I usually put minis in a bag together with a board to keep them straight, and more valuable older issues of Uncanny.
I think the main thing is that I buy comics to read, not to collect, and I have no intention of selling anything, so I don't need to keep things mint, and even if I did, none of the comics we're buying these days are ever gonna be worth anything anyway. Maybe if I pick up an extremely rare variant I might chuck it in a bag with a bag and board, but all in all I don't think it's worth it, seems like a waste of time and money, but I'd be keen to hear other peoples opinions.

A majority of mine aren't bagged and boarded, but first issues, favorite issues, and stuff I deem valuable is always bagged and boarded. However, also, any leftover bags and boards I just put on any ones that are old and/or falling apart.
Cause alot of my comics I got years and years ago before I really took good care of them. So yeah.
But I definately bag n' board whenever I can.

A couple of my friends collected comics through the 90's (all bagged and mint, usually 2 copies of each: One to read, one to 'keep'), and together with a collection of figurines this stuff constituted an asset valuable enough to be a down-payment on their house. I guess it just depends what you buy. Their collection does seem to mostly be stuff they are really into (sexy vampires and gothic carrying-on), so they aren't just prospectors.

The problem is that now they are printing more issues and the higher quality materials ensures there will be more higher quality issues in 20 years than say an issue of Miller's Daredevil or Claremont's X-Men

I gave them my bag at check-in and boarded the flight a couple of hours later.

Wait... this isn't about airports?

to be honest, at first glance I though it said Gagging and Whoring.
But then I clicked on it.
"Oh. Comics... Cool."

When I first saw the thread title I thought it said "I love to fuck myself in my own cunt", but then I opened it and realised that it was just about some comic related subject that nobody cares about because nobody reads comics.

I'll be honest, at first glance I thought your post said "I masturbate to Warren Ellis daily" but then I reread it and saw that it didn't say that.

I really hope someone from the animation production has this thread pop up in their google alerts, opens it up and has a read.

Anyways, I'm off for a good night tea-bagging and water-boarding.

My three measly TPB's are bagged, mostly because they seem really fragile, on my HUSH book the plastic layer on the cover sort of started to separate from the paper layer itself, I don't know if that's supposed to happen or if it's actually getting damaged, but I'm taking precautions anyway.
