I am ashamed to say that I hadn't heard of this guy until recently. Anyhow, I'm very "glad" I have!

With an underlying theme of alienation and loneliness, often brought about by near-autistic failure of inter-human interaction coupled with an absolute mind-boggling attention to detail, Ware's stories are somewhat of a sado-masochistic exercise to get through.

On show is some very understated eye-candy, presented in fractal page layouts that have to be read in a special way (takes a bit of getting used to at first). Apparently Ware collects early 20th century ads and graphics. His style is definitely rooted there and he has a wonderful eye for design. All this makes his entire body of work sit on a level that can be offered as pure art. Add to this the gut-wrenching subject matter and you have a sublimely powerful combination.

Anyone here follow his stuff?
