While the Marvel Universe is gripped by Fear Itself, the DCU is going to have the Flashpoint thing going on, staring yesterday with FP #1.

I think the premise is kind of cool, but issue #1 felt really rushed... anyone else pick it up?

Oh c'mon, it's not the first time I said it, I haven't read his work on Flash or Brightest Day, but War Of The Green Lanterns is a piece of shit, as much of his work on Green Lantern by basically turning it all into Dragon Ball Z.

I would as bold as to say he is the Bendis of DC !

Just read #1, thought it was good, although I felt very confused, am I supposed to have read something before ?

But the ending was cool, unlike Fear Itself I felt a little rewarded when I finished it.

I should read this and I probably will. Maybe not until I read some more DC Universe stuff, though.

Dude, Ultimate Spider-man is awesome. For the most part. Ultimate Venom sort of sucks a bit, but I like how he ties into Peter's past.

...Anyway, yeah. I don't hate Bendis like Brookie over here.

Go read his flash stuff, and read Blackest night if you haven't. Johns is is one of DC's better writers, War of the green Lanterns isn't his best stuff, but it's not horrid.

"War Of The Green Lanterns" is an ode to how he has single-handedly destroyed the GL universe, it's beyond terrible.

And I'm not hearing very good things about Brightest Day either !

I like what Geoff Johns GL stuff I've read. And I heard that Sinestro Corps War and Blackest Night were both pretty great.

The main arc to BD was terrible, but some of the tie ins were good (Justice League Generation Lost was amazing) even though that wasn't Johns.
