How the heck did he make that Nite Owl costume?? I've been trying to think of ideas for months, and finally gave up last week.

So tonight I saw about 150 to 175 dark knight jokers wandering around Frenchmen street in New Orleans. It is good to have a basis for cliche but the impact of Dark Knight has reverberated too far.

Anyway I feel as if I should preface this by explaining that everyone in New Orleans goes nuts over Halloween. Its just about the second biggest Holiday after Mardi Gras. Think several thousand people in costume getting drunk and blocking off the streets in one Halloween centric neighborhood. Last year I saw one Rorchach, and he was relieved that at least one Watchmen fanboy was out to witness his costume. Tonight I saw no less than six Rorchachs. Some were better than others. It's safe to say that the trailer has boosted GN sales enough to see a sixfold increase in Rorchachs in New Orleans. This in itself is very positive considering I went as the comedian this year. Yes I got a few girls that asked If I was Captian America, which is understandable considering your average drunk halloween girl. However, I got several dozen people who recognized me. Personally I am very happy that a percentage of people at the largest open air Halloween party in the states were able to pick the comedian out of a crowd. I even posed for several pics with other Watchmen fans.
I have several pics of tonite. However, I drank too much to figure out how to post them. So someone please let me know how to make it happen and I will share.

Until then,
Carpe Noctem.
The NOLA Comedian.

Haha, "GN sales enough to see a sixfold increase in Rorchachs" It sounds like a unit of measurement. xD

I tried to go as Rorschach last night, but screwed up the mask. Fortunately, I could just do away with the mask and call myself a 1950s era journalist (which I did).

I wish I had pictures. I made my costume in about two seconds; I was a rioter from the Keene Riots. Smoke bombs, a baseball bat and a leather jacket all go fine with your regular sweatshirt and jeans. Was gonna make a picket sign that said "Badges, not masks" but I didn't have the time, as little cretins came around, begging for candy.

Me as Rorschach, with Mina Harker and Alan Quartermain. :D I'll post better/closeup pictures soon. This costume was SO MUCH FUN; one watchmen fan ran up and HUGGED me. Someone else yelled "the inkblots aren't moving, it's not canon!" And there was a very...amusing...incident with a dog that I should have a picture of soon.

I got my little brother into Watchmen a while ago, so he decided to go as Kovacs this Halloween.
So if anyone saw a small version of Kovacs wandering around near Lake Tahoe, that was my brother.

I broke out the ol' Comedian-as-a-girl costume again for a while before changing for another party.

All I got were stares and one creepy mouth-breather who wouldn't go away and whose opening line consisted of "Hehe, I didn't know the comedian was so well-endowed...."

Little runt... probably wore elevator shoes.

Did you make the appropriate sound effects in a monotone voice?

I should really get some decent pictures of that costume... I'll definately post them when I do. :P

Also the Comedian would make a badass mask even (or maybe especially) if he was a girl. :P

I was excited to make a new thread for the costumes my girlfriend and I just wore, but you already have a great thing going so I'll keep all the action here. All the pics have an external hi-res link below. Enjoy!

(the OCD in me requires I point out that I realize Laurie was never in M's lab in costume...)

And Dr. M lets loose on the weekends:

If I see any Manhattans like that at the premiere, I'll think of you.
