saw BTTF2 today, and noticed a few refernces

1) part of the movie happens in an alternate 1985

2) in the future there is a billboard advertising Holidays in Vietnam, probably unbelievable in the 1989 that the movie was made.

3) in alternate 1985, they find some old papers, and one of them has a headline about Nixon running for his 5th term in office

I have to agree that those are too obvious to be coincidental

also i realised, not only is it an alternate 1985, it's an alternate OCTOBER 1985. i mean that could be a coincidence because the first movie is set in October too, but perhaps it was that connection that spurred the writers to make the other references

And the movie starts with Doc brown getting thrown out of his high rise window by Biff.

It is. Half of it is sarcasm, and uninteresting sarcasm at that.

You shouldn't be so hard on him, he's getting very good grades in school.
