That said, I must also mention that a dozen times 22-26 minutes is a considerable amount of time. You may start to think how they can make all that without using the whole book. Then again, I don't know the true nature of the webisodes yet, so this argument is open for debate. ;)

I reckon they can fit a chapter into that time pretty tightly
My vids run about a minute per page, and I have to pause so people can read...
With narrated vids, I'm pretty sure they can do it....
I haven't a clue what they'd do otherwise!

I'm wondering if some information didn't get conflated somewhere and the reality is some of the 12 (9 left!) videos that will be posted over the next year will be webisodes as opposed to a full 12 videos JUST for the webisodes.

I was pretty sure when it was announced that they'd use that animation technique but it's nice to have my thoughts confirmed.

However I'm not sure how much i'm looking forward to these. I've read the book so many times that i don't know how much i could take from this. That being said it's more for newcomers to the story over the hardcores.

I doubt i'll watch this more than a couple times.

Doubt it...
The number 12 is deliberately used all over the place of course
Besides the monthly videos are about the production of the film, nothing else...

I find it strange of WB to risk spoiling the plot to people new to the story like that. I'm not saying it wouldn't be cool if they did, I would actually prefer it, but I just find it strange. I'm expecting more of an (as stated before) introduction to the universe and the characters with backgrounds, ect...

But what do I know.

Dude, the movie's plot has been spoiled since the late 1980's

Presumably Alan Moore's name won't appear on these webisodes (or am I wrong, DD?). It's strange that the book will be adapted in this 'faithful' a way without crediting him - even stranger than adapting it into film without crediting him - but I suppose it only emphasizes how extravagantly Times Warner AOL ETC has milked Moore's creativity.

On the trailer it said "DC Comics and Warner Bros. Presents." Gibbons or Moore were not credited. I don't know if that's how it will be on the webisodes.

I hope the animation is good. Can't imagine if it will be equivalent to South Park! Haha, sigh. Imagine watchmen having a musical "shut your F***ing face, uncle F***er!"

A spanish guy linked this in my site:

It was made by him two mounths ago. It's just a test, but may be a good approximation of how the motion comic will look like, don't you think?

That's very good, even if the WB one will look better...
DDC have you got any idea of WB's budget for the webisodes?
Obviously it won't be as much as TBF, but it'd be good to know how much time they spend making each one...

That is close. Maybe a little too artsy. Don't know anything else about the webisodes, otherwise it would have been in the article. ;)

Looking at that Spanish video - Zack Snyder did something very similar when trying to pitch "300". He scanned the original Frank Miller drawings and added the 3D effects with a little animation.

You'll find it as an Extra on the "300" DVD.

That's not Zack's official website, brother. 8-)

anyone know where we can find that vid?
I have the single disc DVD and if I recall it was part of an easter egg...
It's the same with both single and double discs, whatever the region, apparently:

Thanks for the heads-up, Bosun Ridley.

As much as I hate iTunes, I'll roll with it. I'm attempting to download the episode right now.
