I dont know if i am going crazy, but did someone post a website on this thread regarding where they purchased a Rorschach figure but then edited the post or deleted it? I bookmarked it off this forum and don't know if im going delirious or just cant find it

There are tons of toy sites to pre-order 1/6 rorschach from. I saw one 1/6 on ebay a week ago and there are lots of all the figures on ebay. The cheapest preorder I've seen for the big Rorschach is $80. http://www.bigbadtoystore.com and search "watchmen"

Nah I know the website (I bookmarked it when it was posted), I was just going through the thread to thank the person who posted it and couldn't find it.

OK then. One last bit of info for the curious...toysrus.com has the exclusive Rorschach in stock if your local store is picked clean or if you don't have a toys r us nearby. If you order more than $20 of figs, ground shipping is free. It pains me to see some guy on ebay trying to get $35 (plus $12 shipping) for one--you can get two from toysrus.com delivered to your door and still pay less. Be warned--they will probably run out quickly. They're already out of most of the other figures. FWIW they have none of the other variants besides the mugshot Rorschach.

Check out hot topic, they have all the figures there. I'm going to go to the store first to see if they have any on the shelves. I suspect Rorschach will sell out first.

Well, those who snoozed, losed, or something like that. toysrus.com is out of the exclusive mugshot Rorschach. Only thing to do now if you want one is comb all the toys r us stores for it and pray for good luck or go to ebay and pray you can win one without paying a huge mark-up.

Actually, I was very surprised they lasted even a whole day, let alone two--remember there's a limited number and some percentage of them went onto shelves, so only so many could have been put online. I hope that posting about this helped some real fans grab these up, and not just a few hoarders/scalpers from ebay. I grabbed two for myself and even getting the one extra to me is a little overboard. Maybe someday it will really go up in value, who knows, but I have no intention of trying to corner the market--there's no guarantees that the general public will go as ape$&!t over the movie as we all did over the comic/GN when it came out. In the end, even if the movie is a flop in big money terms, it's good for us rabid fans, and these figures would make me happy even if there were NO movie, and they just put them out as part of a 25th anniversary blitz.

Lastly--I CAN'T BELIEVE I'm waiting til tonight to go see the movie. I should have snuck out during the day Friday since I wasn't at work or doing much else. My wife refused to go to a Thur nite midnite showing, and I figured everything else from Friday eve til "prime time" tonite will be too packed, so I'm going to the latest showing tonight, hoping to be able to find 2 half-decent seats together/everyone is home for the eve by then (11:30 PM).

The site says temporarily sold out.

DC Direct issued edition numbers of the other three variant figures. Those have a run of 5000 only.

There's no telling of the "temporarily sold out" status on the website will end up becoming a permanent sell-out or if they might just get several more copies.

In any case, my preorder is still valid and according to my item status my stock is located in the warehouse. I'm hoping it ships tomorrow.

I think I heard somewhere a while ago that if the figures sold well, they'd make a third wave, but I honestly can't remember. But since Ozzy has a Moloch figure in his assortment, why can't we?

I'm kind of surprised they haven't released an Ozymandias variant without his mask on. Especially since he only had his mask on for one scene in the movie.

I doubt there are any more of these than the other variants, though you never know. If you preordered I'm sure you'll not have a problem--I waited until they were in stock on the 6th and then ordered a pair--status is currently "item(s) located in stock." Which means it'll ship in the next couple of days. Word of warning--I have ordered from TRU before, and their packing job leaves much to be desired--they tend to use too little cushioning materials inside the box.

My status is the same.

I'm an opener so I don't really care about packaging. I still like it to be in good condition, especially since a lot of packaging these days is designed so you can remove the figure and put it back with no damage to the packaging. Still, it's not a deal-breaker. I'll settle for damaged packaging if I have to.

I'm sure I'm one of the first people to put in my preorder. I believe I was the first person to mention it on this forum and I also spread word of this exclusive around to other forums after I already had my preorder in.

My translucent Dr. Manhattan will arrive via UPS tomorrow (along with my Nite Owl and Silk Specter busts) then all I'll be waiting on are the two unmasked Rorschach variants and my 13" Rorschach.

Urbancollector.com is the first US retailer I've seen offering the Kubricks and Bearbricks and I placed my order for all 4 sets ($17.99 each for sets of 3) and everyone seems to think that Hot Toys will be announcing figures any time now.

I got my TRU shipping notice today.

I suspect it may not have physically shipped yet because the charge isn't showing on my card and the USPS tracking number has no record yet.

They say it's a UPS tracking number but all you need to do is look at it and you can tell it's not, but if you put the number into Google it comes up with the option to track a USPS package.

Of all the major carriers (the others being UPS, Fedex and DHL) USPS is by far the worst when it comes to tracking. Instead of tracking in real-time like the rest you're lucky if you get a status update at the end of the day so I'm not too worried about the non-progress when tracking their number.

Still, the other unmasked Rorschach and the 13" Rorschach should be shipping on Wednesday so I'll have all the figures soon.

I got my translucent Dr. Manhattan and my Nite Owl and Silk Spectre busts today. That finishes the bust collection and now my 7" collection is only missing 2 and my 13" collection is only missing 1.

Bring on the Kubricks/Bearbricks and whatever Hot Toys has in the works.

Funny--TRU shipped my mugshot Rorschach figs yesterday UPS from Ohio. They should be here tomorrow. My wave 2 and young Blake figs should arrive today. My translucent Doc is ready to be shipped but I'll wait til the big Rorschach comes and ship them together.
