Yeah, so we're about 15 or so books into this "Before Watchmen" and it's pretty clear that the writing and stories are pedestrian, at best. And of course the entire thing was a terrible idea and wrong to begin with. Some of the stuff that's come out of it has been downright insulting.

But it's not been a total pile of shit. In fact, the artwork has been pretty damn good across the board. Now, that doesn't make this ill endeavor a good thing overall... but it would be wrong of me not to point out that at least the illustrators involved and been putting out some pretty cool stuff.

These covers announced for December (Comedian #5, Minutemen #5, and Moloch #1) are actually pretty spectacular stuff:

and i agree, the cover art has been the best part about these prequels, the stories have been sub-par. in fact, i'm not even bothering to read them anymore.

So much mental gymnastics for nothing I guess.

They are indeed. And if you go to a comic shop, you can get them dirt cheap because no one wants them.

All were pretty interesting. Didn't add too much to the story, but not bad at all.
