The Gutters does Watchmen Babies!!!!

Something to consider:

Ryan Sohmer wrote:
I am remined of a band that I loved when I was younger named Snot (seriously). They had an amazing album called "Get Some" and then tragically, their lead singer died in a car accident.

I was really bummed out knowing that there would be no more classic Snot records, but a friend of mine clamed me down with one simple phrase: "Well... at least they never sucked."

And that's how I feel about Watchmen and the idea of Watchmen sequels, prequels, one-shots or backup strips. Watchmen is, and always will be, a classic tale that helped define the modern comics age. Anything you add to that can only dilute the legacy of the original.

We're actually quite proud of our home grown talent this side of The Pond, in particular one who has succeeded in garnering legions of loyally dedicated fans worldwide and is a genuine stand out in a market otherwise traditionally dominated by our transatlantic cousins, and especially even mo(o)reso when that talent is an articulate, opinionated, good old-fashioned eccentric who has perpetually demonstrated an admirably unswerving ability to be a complete buggeration and general pain in the arse for multinational corporate (and foreign!) big business over the years.

His Beardiness is positively a poster boy for a fine organ of leftist-leaning intellectual journalistic integrity such as the calibre of The Guardian and one whose exploits they are only to happy to extol at any and all available opportunity... to quote from the man's own writings:
England Prevails!

I apologize for judging British press by American standards. How foolish of me.

Au contraire. I remain convinced that once this whole thing breaks entirely free from the currenty fan-centric internet realm of mere speculation, unconfirmed rumour and opposing love/hate conjecture and becomes grounded in actual hard fact in the wake of any official industry announcement, then we'll be seeing the populist press the world over seizing upon and running with the story to one varying degree or another... your own included (especially those based in NYC who can, I guess, claim to have a form of spiritual affinity to the events of WATCHMEN and its integral fictionalised printed media).

In the meantime, whilst we're all waiting, I found this and wanted to put it up for no other reason than just to share:

PRE QUELL... OR SEE MORE?

If this crap does indeed happen, you won't see me getting anywhere near it.

This is a horrible idea that will add nothing to the legacy of the graphic novel.

These cash-grabs won't even get a flip-through in the store from me.

I thought the same.
Wasn't that like distinctly what they were aiming for?

So what's the likelihood these prequels will be leveraged into a prequel film of they're even moderately successful?

If a prequel film is ever made, I'd like to see it tackled by several different directors, and preferably, different actors.
