Silk Spectre II by Amanda Conner

Bleeding Cool has been slowly revealing the artwork for a rumored set of prequels for Alan Moore’s Watchmen. Last week, they revealed that Amanda Conner was the rumored artist for the Silk Spectre project (there are a lot of rumors floating around on this one … )

And last night BC posted this artwork of Silk Spectre II by … Amanda Conner.

Of course, we have no way of knowing whether this is just a commission piece. It does make wonder, hypothetically of course, who would be the writer or writers on this.

I posted this on the Facebook page, but didn't feel it was worthy of the main site. This story is the definition of pure speculation. Someone emails him some fan art, and he posts it on his site saying it could be real. I know he's "connected" but this just seems a stretch.

Ah, I see! Sorry, I don't like the facebook page, so I didn't know you have posted it there.

Yeah, we also discussed this a bit in the prequel thread.
Thing is, Amanda Conner aint just a fan artist, she's legit to the max

Didn't we do this already?

The cease and desist threat he received direct from DC legal shortly after hosting the image serves to make it that much less stretchy, however.

Point taken. But the image could have been a WB commission for a presentation, Ms. Conner's submission to plead for a chance to work on the project. Who knows.

No worries. This didn't have it's own thread, so it's no big deal.
