I've always had a bit negative image about DC, so that didn't come as a surprise. I have been boycotting DC after their announcement about Before Watchmen. All they care about is money and how to milk it from fans/readers (sadly many companies does this).

I feel exactly the same way. DC has done plenty of questionable things in the past regarding their treatment of their employees and fans, but for me them attempting to get Moore to write these prequels in exchange for the rights of Watchmen was one of the most disgusting acts I've ever seen them attempt. When they announced the prequels I made it a point to no longer purchase anything from DC. I'm not doing it to make a point or hurt their wallet (because neither one of those will happen), I'm just doing it because I no longer feel comfortable giving them any more of my money. I'm simply going to try to pretend that these prequels don't even exist.

It's also quite unfortunate that these books have forever ruined Brian Azzarello for me. Until now I used to generally enjoy his work, but after seeing his name attached to this project I lost all respect I had for him as an artist and any enjoyment I use to have when reading his past work has been completely taken away. Not too long ago I ended up selling all the stuff I had with his name on it, including the entire series of 100 Bullets.

Good to know some people have the stomach to stand by their beliefs, that is certainly not extreme, and I sincerely wish similar action had been taken by many of the fans who dishonestly said they loved Alan Moore's work right until DC published the prequels, it's a little sick how the only thing in the mind of many geeks is "MOAR", they like an orange, and they want to extract juice beyond what the fruit allows, truly, there's no such thing as "consumer discipline" in them.
