Exactly, I never really felt like it was The Comedian...

The worst part is I was so excited for this one because i felt like azzarello was made to write The comedian... well, here's hoping Nite Owl get's us back up to a better level.

This series is starting to get closer to what I expected... but... what is with Azzarello and the Kennedys? Blake had his ties to Nixon and other right wing people... why do the Kennedys keep popping up?

Like JMS with Dr. Manhattan, Azzarello has no grasp of The Comedian. At all.

my guess is the series is going to end up with blake killing jfk, and shedding a single tear.

Did you not read the first issue? In Before Watchmen Blake does not kill JFK. In fact, issue 1 ends with Blake and Moloch watching the news report of JFK's assassination with Blake actually consoling a crying Moloch. I shit you not.
