Jesus. I wake up and there's 461 signatures. I can just imagine what it'll rack up today during the US daytime hours.

I signed it with the comment "Theater version better be 3 hrs. Would be happy with a 4 hr directors cut on DVD. Hurm."

I will post it on some forums as well.

You guys are amazing - we're up to 500+ already in less than 24 hours ;)

Some of you have already posted elsewhere - I see we've got imdb covered. Would it be possible for you to call in your posts on other sites so we can see where else is left to target? Once we're linked to movie and comic boards all over the net, then we can move on to other less well known sites. Batman / Dark Knight fans might have some views too - I've never been able to get registered on the BOF site though....

I guess when we get over the 1,000 mark, it would be great if our comrades over at AICN, CHUD, etc were to chime in with some words of endorsement too - is anyone out there able to persuade them on this?

Couple edits to be made (if possible).

Statement 1: word is "minutiae."

Statement 3: Watchmen is a landmark work

Otherwise, good work. :)

Will this change anything? Even if it let's Warner Bros know that fans want a 3 hr Watchmen, Warner would probably just shrug their shoulders and say "Well, we know you're going to see this movie, regardless". They will be marketing this movie, not just to fans, but to people new to Watchmen. Look at Dark Knight. How many of the tons of people who saw that actually read, or have read Batman? Warner Bros has our money, they really don't need to make the movie longer just to please us. They want to make as much money off the movie as they can, which means they will try to fit as many screenings of the movie as they can. Sign the petition all you want, but I don't think it will make any difference.

this is not the point. zack offered a lot of clever possibilities and cool ways to explore watchmen world and the entire book which really interested WB. probably they established a condition to him: if u get these guys signatures saying they want a 3h movie - cause we need to know if there's gonna be a public for a 3h length super hero movie - you can make your 180min cut. almost like a bet, I think.

Probably not, but Zack Snyder sees now how much we support him.
