really pleased for you ddc! any chance you can ask for an exlusive journal while you're there?

I'm sure the powers that be know I'd want one, so if they want to give me one, they will. ;)

Sorry, Carl. I've got dibs.

Exactly. Curi gets all of the extra swag, which has been pretty light so far. To date he got a promo Watchmen movie shirt from Comic-Con and about 20 of the WCM postcards.

Have fun.

You are definitely allowed to describe the event and footage. Correct?

Absolutely. Plus I'm sure I can tape the Q&A and get a transcription online as well.

Have you asked if you could tape the audio of the footage...I'm not questioning your memory or anything, but so much stuff could be hard to take in all at once...

No. Divorce and take me with you. Or else give your wife a nice dress.

I'll ask when I'm there. There might not be any harm in that, especially if I'm not releasing the audio, just using it to help me transcribe what was shown in the footage.

Nice pick up on the line Ghondar!

Good idea to just wing the questions DDC, I think that once you see the footage a whole lot of things will come to mind to ask that are more relevant than anything you can come up with beforehand.

The one question I would like answered is if WB is still trying to get Zack to trim the run time down to 2.5 hours or so. I'd like it around 3 hours.

I just want to know who's playing Malcolm Long. Just a name.

i've been thinking of something...

we're all complaining about nothing new since the trailer. we missed the comic con footage, we have no info about the supertrailer in UK.

I remember that back in 2003, a footage event for The Matrix Reloaded was scheduled for journalists...they were just amazed with everything. the problem is, the wachowski brothers really thought they had content enough to still keep people interested during the movie when they got to see on theaters, without spoiling the surprise and the feeling by showing that bloody footage - so long, and so many time before the actual premiere. well, they were wrong, we know. the third Matrix installment was lame and it didn't justify the bet they placed on showing that footage to journalists.

i said 'showing'? less than 15 days after that, it misteriously 'leaked' in hd. i had a friend of mine who saved it on a cd and i could watch it right before the movie, so, when I got there, it felt kinda...you know how it feels when someone tells you the ending.

it's different with watchmen. zack can show 20 min or 30 min. of everything... 'leak' it, with no problem. 3h11, 3h, 2h50 whatever...it's a hell of a time, it's a hell of material, there's a hell of content to be seen yet, with Black Freighter, Under the Hood, etc. and just take The Dark Knight (2h24) as an example. there were like 10 min. officially released on the Internet.

i wouldn't be surprised if we were 'rewarded' with a 'leak' to this footage. after all, it will happen right at october 6th...no surprise, there's a journal there right?

count a week from it...and it's october 13th. maybe I'm crazy, but it comforts me.

i too wish they would throw those of us who are not journalists and did not attend comic con a bone. i dont need 10 minutes or half an hour.

i would like to see 5 mins of dialogue/action with all of the main players. just 5 minutes, zack.

This is like a really nerdy version of Indecent Proposal. :)
