Yes, Veidt is very very strong - that's clear....but I can't imagine him lifting enormous weights etc!

DDC, thanks so much for answering all our questions. I'm agonizing over the wait til next March.

Sorry if you already answered this, but how did you feel about the cgi in the footage you saw? Did you buy into the reality of Dr. Manhattan at all times, or did the look of the cgi take you out of the moment at any time?

The effects weren't done yet so I don't think it would be fair to comment on them.

Really, any unrealistic feats performed by Veidt can be explained away by "the miraculous results of the Veidt Method". We just have to accept that Adrian is a total badass, and can do whatever he wants. :)

did Blake really fight with Veidt? He seems to be so tired, like he almost didn't make the job harder.

He fought. He didn't win, but he fought nonetheless.

See, I don't believe that The Comedian just let Veidt win, becuase there is more damage than if Veidt charged in, picked him up and threw him out the window.

I don't remember that frame from my own readings. But seeing it, I'm now pretty convinced that Blake must have put up a fight, if more out of spite than any hope of winning. Just look at all that debris. I now have a little more confidence in Snyder's interpretation of the scene. (Unless someone wants to argue that Veidt broke all the furniture on purpose to make it look like there was a fight when there wasn't. Which he could have, but it's the less simple explanation)

Eh... it's possible. But in the GN Comedian appears to be more surprised when the door gets kicked down.

Well, also in the book we just see snippets and the fight as one big flash back, He may have started out shocked, only to then go right into "game mode"

I would have certainly mentioned that in my article if it had been.

From the way it's been described by all the sources they make it sound cool. The credits sequence just seems like a series of slo-motion immersive-style camera movement shots while you see bits and pieces of things happening. It'll be like you're seeing the Moon landing but then you see a bit of Dr. Manhattan reflected in the visor of Neil Armstrong.

Maybe, maybe not. It's a trailer. It isn't just one big clip, it's a collection of clips that will probably tell the story of the movie.

Its just a quick shot in the credits of an Apollo astronaut walking on the moon. He turns as the camera movies in for a close up on the front on his helmet. In the reflection of the gold visor on his helmet you see the Doc holding a video camera shooting the astronaut. You never see Doc directly, just in the reflection in the visor.

It looked very cool.

Ah! So he's not Alan Moore. He's not Zack Snyder. He's Dr Manhattan! Of course!

Wow, that sounds really awesome, I expected like some cheesy shot from the sides showing Doc and The stronauts, this actually really makes me excited, thanks

If Snyder has proved anything this far, it's that he's got a firm grip on the visual department. The question is whether he can bring the emotional weight to a project as "heavy" as Watchmen.

Hopefully this next trailer will feature a good chunk of dialog and also make everyone feel a lot better.

agreed, nusense, I strongly hope there is some clue about the ending that only us fans will get to assuage our fears or exacerbate them, either way, I think he should drop a hint, Maybe use a scene with dialogue talking about a beast or "it's in" so that the fans catch it and realise the squid shows...

yeah, I just got back from my job and am probably rambling, Broken Finger said it best "Sometimes Dr. Brooklyn doesn't even know what he's talking about"
