Has anyone seen their videos or been onto the website/forum? They're so...ugh, I actually find it hard to explain without getting all ranty. Basically a bunch of Watchmen Movie haters who think that Zack Snyder is the fucking Anti-Christ who has no idea how to make movies at all and hasn't got a drop of intelligence at all.

They hate the casting of the movie, they hate the way its shot, they hate the new ending and the whole movie (despite it not being out yet, they must be psychics or something because their opinion on the movie seems to be the only one that matters here).

Serious, these guys are nitpicking the absolute shit out of the movie, thinking its going to be infinitely crappier than the all so mighty Dark Knight (I say this even though I love TDK lol) based on the trailers and TV spots. One would think that they would realize its a marketing plan but to them it seems to represent the whole movie. Ugh. Fuck. Those guys annoy me...

Well, I disagree with their general consensus plenty, but I am in fact a proud talkback member.

Every time I read comments on other websites I realize how much this one has spoiled me. I expect people to know things that have been said in obscure interviews and every argument is one I've seen before and tired of.

I would not pay them any mind bernie sites like Talkback world tend to implode due to the arrogance and ego of both posters and admins as the positve reviews keep coming in the more likely they will turn on each other because,of course they can not be wrong about this movie!!

Even though I'm not much of a poster and more of a lurker, WCM is without a doubt my favorite forum for talking about Watchmen. I somehow found Talkback before WCM and it was a refreshing change from SHH. Anywho, since the forums are private and you have to be a member to view them (I do find that a bit elitist.), I'd just like to say that most members are pretty smart guys and the video guys come on too strong sometimes, but they're cool too. Everyone's pretty open to opposing views, they just might never agree, heh. Just know that I'm a reasonable and open-minded humble fellow.

Kill them. Clone their brains. That's the only way to find out if they really are.

It's a web community, based around a couple of guys who post video critiques and analysis, often cynical. Not much to the place, just a podcast and radio show, the occassional videos, and a private forum.

There's a lot of people on the internet that seriously need to take a step back and look at themselves. I don't mean that in a nasty way, but I've encountered sets of people who put so much time an effort into hating things that it simply can't be healthy. If its bitterness at life I'm not going to judge, sometimes we can't help what happens to us, but surely its better to appreciate whats there than deride everything just to feel vindicated in some way? It used to annoy me, now it just makes me sad.

I'm glad to say there is not much of that on this forum. In fact it's one of the most hate free forums I've been on.

I'm a regular poster on 4chan so I know exactly what you're talking about. These people just refuse to think logically and will hate on Snyder for any simple thing, regardless of there being a logical explanation for a cut or change in the film.

This. I'm almost tempted to straighten things out on other forums, especially when every little piece of news causes explosions (of the non-Manhattan variety) across the board (OMG WHAT NO HOLLIS MASON? YEAH I HEARD THAT BERNIES AREN'T EVEN FILMED AT ALL FFFFFFF KILL SNYDER) but it would take far, far too much effort. I just let them wait for March 6th...

I'm thinking that the OP is another "fan" who couldn't handle the truth about this film and is now saying Talkback is full of haters. Far from it.
When it comes to Watchmen, a lot of Talkback members feel that so much more could have been done with the movie adaptation.
Zack Snyder has overlooked drama (all the clips have an extremely shallow feeling to them), casting (the actors' delivery of dialogue is shockingly bad) and has solely focused on slo-mo action (which has no place in this movie whatsoever).
Snyder was arrogant (or stupid) for thinking that he could make the movie in the first place. We dont' hate him (well, some do), but rather think that he should do movies that are more suitable for him (Spawn has been brought up multiple times).
Don't you see that Snyder has pretty much destroyed the point of the whole GN by making it cool and stylized?

Never compromise. This movie could have been majestic, but all we get is comic book movie fluff that will be forgotten by the end of the year.

I have seen enough without seeing the actual film. We all have, it's just that "fans" can't face the reality and are in denial.

Well, apparently Dave Gibbons is in denial too, then. That guy must definitely not know Watchmen.

To tell you the truth, anybody could have done the original GN art (it wouldn't look the same of course). Moore's vision would have remained. Gibbons is a sell out and probably worse than Snyder in my eyes.
