Oh....I never noticed that she had little "owl ears". But I doubt that's the reason why Hollis fell for her. It's an irony, sure, but he liked her, inside and out. (shakes Hollis) WHYYYYY DID YOU WAIT SO LONG??!!
I know! My take on it is this...some guys just can't deal with the emotional feeling of falling in love (I've known plenty of men like this, trust me). They're afraid of it, and I think this was Hollis's situation. In the "Under the Hood" DVD, he says something along the lines of: "I could go out and beat up bad guys, but I couldn't even ask Sally out on a date. By the time I had enough courage, she was already married to her manager."
Plus, she was crazy about Eddie, who was a sick bastard, which didn't help matters. Nice guys finish last (???)
But to answer the thread, my number one choice would be Carla, definitely, not only looks-wise, but acting wise. Second would be Apollonia Vanova as the Silhouette, even though she had no lines, but there was something very alluring, exotic, and sensuous about her. She didn't have to say anything to get you to instantly notice her, she was striking and had a strong presence on-screen, definitely, like one of the old silent screen vamps like Theda Bara.
