I just watched this today and it was very good. It met my expectations. Some quick comments: McHattie is excellent in this, and Gugino is better than she was in the film.

Many great "cameos" including interviews with Big Bernie, Malcolm Long, Wally Weaver and Larry Schexnayder.

I think one mistake made by WB was releasing this three weeks after the film was out. If it was released a few weeks prior, it might have helped sell the concept of what Watchmen was as a film, and gave some backstory (not unlike 24's two hour prequel movie this season).

Are there interviews with all of the other Minutemen like Mothman, Dollar Bill, Silhouette, etc?

Where can watch this dealy-0? How bout the Black Freighter anime? Are you watching it pirated or are they already out? I guess I'm ill-informed...And I would like to know where y'all are getting the Director's Cut Bernies/newsstand scene info from...

I know this has been mentioned elsewhere, but you can watch both Tales of the Black Freighter and Under the Hood when they are released as a companion DVD on March 24th. I'm assuming that DDC must have gotten a hold of a copy from WB (being a moderator here does have its benefits).

The detalis on the Bernies in the Directors Cut have been mentioned numerous times in interviews with Zack Snyder. Do a quick search and I'm sure you'll turn up something.

I must ask you one thing.

How in the hell do you pronounce "Schexnayder?" Is the answer finally revealed?

"Shecks-Nader"

I think it's meant to contrast nicely with another Polish name, Juspeczyk (You-Spech-Ick).

About 38 minutes I believe.

No. It takes the shape of a 1985 show looking back at an interview with Mason in 1975. So all the original Minutemen, more or less, would be dead or committed.

No, WB sent me the DVD today. I just wanted to start this thread now in case there were any others on the forum who got the DVD from WB early as well... and in case you guys had questions for me.

Question 1: How much of the interviews are in '85 with heroes in their sixties, versus middle-aged in the 70's?

None. As far as I could tell, all of the interviews take place in 1975. Gugino has been aged with makeup but looks mid-50s. The stuff with Bernie and Malcolm Long, I believe, were done in "1985."

Cool. It works.

Question 2: Do the interviews essentially duplicate the material between the chapters of the GN, or are they new questions and new answers?

Question 3: How can we get early copies? If that's possible?

Thanks for the heads up DDC. We all know how Watchmen was written with the comic medium in mind, showing off the mediums strengths etc, but featurette's and extras like this definitely show off the strength of the film/video. Do we have Zynder to thank for these extra goodies? I dont think just any director attached to the movie would have thought up all this stuff

This Under The Hood featurette comes from the Black Frieghter DVD right? If i remember the advert correctly, its a shame the extra scene with the two Bernies only features on the Blu Ray edition, but no doubt itll appear online at some stage (i.e immediately after.)

Question, DDC.
Is the 'Under The Hood' doco supposed to appear as if it is a segment from any particular 'real world' show, channel, or presenter?

Nice to hear that Gugino can be good as Sally Jupiter; a good indicator for the DC.

Another question: Does Hollis bring up stories about his youth? Specifically, Moe Vernon and the Auto Repair shop?
