For those interested, I watched the bonus scene on the Blu Ray with the Bernies. Rorschach (as Walter Kovacs) shows up in a cameo, and it was pretty entertaining

For what it's worth, I saw this last night (having watched Tales of the Black Freighter the night before).

I think that the mocumentary does well in filling out the history of the Minutemen as well as setting up events in the movie proper.

Long's whistful hope that one day he'll get to do a profile on one of the Masks.
Hollis fateful hope that one day SS and NO will be together.
Bernie the newstandsman's wish that there will be someone, somewhere for him when he says "Help".
Moloch's wise contemplation of what kind of resistance will Dr. Manhattan's prescence ultimately produce?

I thought that the format was quirky, but fitted well within the realm of the Watchmen world that Snyder has constructed. I even noticed a Snyderish "AWESOME!" headline on a newspaper.

Both of these films are a brave attempt at completeing the Watchmen story. I applaud the effort made.

Where is it on the blu ray? I could not find it. Or is it part of the BD live stuff?

Basically, it shows the newsvendor talking about his philosophy while the other Bernie reads a segment of the Black Freighter. After that, Walter comes up unexpectedly and the vendor brushes him off, saying he creeps him out. It was cool. Though seeing how it's cut in, I don't see how it'd cut into the ultra mega director's cut since it deviates from the main story to a large extent

Sorry, it was in the Black Freighter thread. I had a 50/50 chance and I guessed wrong. :)

Odd, I can't find it on BD Live. I wonder if it's only available to certain regions, in which case, boo on them. Alternatively, I could just be blind. :D

Where is the two bearnies on the BD live thing? I put in the ToTBF Blu Ray, log into BD live, go to extra content for the movie ant its not there. Thats where the prision break scene was on the motion comic blu ray.

Would anyone who can/cannot find the extra scene in the Under the Hood BlueRay BD-Live mind sharing their region? I suspect it's region locked, which is ridiculous, but there you have it.

I'm in Canada, and I can't find it.

From the WB BD-Live FAQ:

You are welcome to come in and look around, but currently Warner Bros. BD-Live registration is only available to US residents.

I was able to register, but perhaps the actual contents are only available to users in the US.

So, I re-registered for BD-Live, but this time I selected my country as United States, and lo and behold, there were the extra features, under the Media Center > Extras option.

Why they wouldn't enable the extra features for all the countries that they sell the Blu-Ray for, I have no idea, but hey, at least we know there's a way around the silly restriction. :)

Same here. It was a pain in the ass just to get everything ready to use BD-Live (Had to unplug the Blu-Ray from the living room and hook it up to the TV in my room where the router was, balance the Blu-Ray player on top of some binders because the HDMI cable wasn't long enough to reach the ground, figure out how to sign up for BD live through Warner Bros' website, and plug in my external HDD to the Blu-Ray player for storage.), so I was pissed when it wasn't there.

"William Long" was the only part I didn't like about this, but I can live with it.

Otherwise, both UTH and BF were great.
