Rorschach's line "Your hands, my perspective" from the book was changed to "Your hands, my pleasure" in the movie.

Any theories why?

Probably to emphasize the fact that the guy was completely at Rorschach's mercy.

I think the same. Those big guys think they´re tough and can get Rorschach but...he owns them

From Taghd.com's movie review:
Quote:
Finally, this overall shift suggests an explanation for why they changed Rorschach’s line when he binds the hands of the thug trying to reach him through his cell door. The thug had asked “What’ve you got?”, and Rorschach, having trapped him, says “Your hands. My perspective.” As demonstrated by this use of what’s around him, his perspective, in both a broad (how he sees morality and his place in the world) and narrow (how he sees his immediate environment) sense really is a key advantage that he possesses. Either not understanding this or choosing to excise it, in the movie his answer is “Your hands. My pleasure.”—a completely different message, again increasing his sadistic side and diminishing his complexity. Which is similar to what the movie does to the original.

"Your hands, my pleasure" also evokes more input from the audience.

Then why was it changed? At some point, while writing the script, somebody read that line in the book and said "nah, lets change it." Why?

No it isn't. The two quotes imply different things.

Well, I did say in my opinion. I'm not really sure why they would change it, in that scene I actually think a little bit of everything changed. In the novel I don't even think the guy "Lawrence" said I'm gonna tear this guy a new hole, I think it was the other guy whose name I forget but I think it's Michael or something.

Just my opinion, by the way.

My perspective implies necessity, sort of "I have seen a way to turn this situation around, I will use it"
My pleasure implies happiness sort of "thank you for giving me this opportunity to turn this situation around" I think
